Yes, I wired it so the motor wires come directly off the posts and through the shock tower, so yes, at a 90 to the posts.

Just received my Viper esc's this week, and will be racing OPEN 4wd SCT with the VTX10R tomorrow.. I will have a race review/report, right now it is on SPEC OFFROAD/NO TIMING profile #1... Until the VIPER SC motors come out, I am running a Team Epic D3 Monster 4.5, because my 540 6.5 VST will not handle this huge track, would rather use it for MOD TC...

Hahaha, LOVE IT. After running this sensored system in my buggy and still having the castle in my truggy i had to sell all my castle stuff. Much smoother. I can't wait for viper to get there 1/8th esc done. see you in a couple of weeks.

I am dying not being able to run my sc right now. I have to send my esc back for repair. I turned it off and it never turned back on again

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I know bud, you and I have already talked at length. I just wanted to see if it was an isolated incident or widepsread. Talked to Weylin and he knows it on its way back, no issues with service so far!!

Is the Viper 1/8th ESC going to be 6S capable? And when is it going to be released?

Yeah mine did the same exact thing with 2 esc's. I can't even get it to run past 5 feet before it fails. I have my third one now but it's still in the box. Just not in the mood to give it a third try right now since my new LRP is working awesome. I'm hoping luck will be on my side the next time I hook everything up.

As for customer support, Weylin's been awesome and very supportive so I have to give it another shot just for that reason alone.

By the way Weylin, any plans to release a 4 pole version of the 550 or 540 for 4x4 SC's? I think these motors are perfect for this application. The ones I see run at the track are torque monsters and when geared right, run very efficiently with good top end. I just hate that they're not sensored or come with a higher kv option.
