does the programmer provide all the adjustments that the tekin hotwire does? can you limit current most importantly?

Yes, and from my understanding we have more set up options overall than they do, so Yes its more than using a Hotwire

Oh, and you don't need a laptop, you can do it trackside, it fits in your pocket

Does the "slew rate" only effect the top speed timing? Or does it also effect the boost. Which setting if any effect rate at which the timing comes in?

Slew rate is how fast top speed timing occurs. It begins when the boost max rpm is reached. IF any top speed timing is entered.

Are you sure, I thought top speed timing started at full trigger pull?

"some guy" has it correct. Top Speed Timing begins when the Finish RPM is reached. Slew Rate is how fast that timing is added. Its actually a calculation the speed control completes to figure it out. We labeled it 1 to 10 be make it easier to understand. With 10 being the fastest, but the differences can make a difference. We have found in testing anything over 4, will just generate heat and not give any performance increase.

Yes, only thing that is different is the SBEC voltage is set lower, because its mostly for 1s applications. So steering servo is slightly slow, but that may not be a horrible thing depending on set up.

I use it in my 2wd and SC with 17.5, nice and light weight.

I'm just an average club racer and I brag about my Viper escs every chance I get. If somebody asks what esc to buy, I tell them VIPER!

I like that idea. If you're gonna do it, might as well make a statement.

Quick questions: VTX8
1. Why does profile 1 not work on it?
2. How many pre-loaded profiles are there?
3. What are the differences in each profile?

VF4 when? What sizes?
VF8 when?
