I have been asking questions about different engines. Racing in Dirt Oval we were all running Losi 350's. But as they are reaching the end:nod: its time....
Looking at the x3 lightning , but ceramic bearing or no ceramic bearing????
Will the ceramic add longevity to motor or just higher rpms?
Thanks

It should add both but higher rpm's probably hurts the engine life. It'll work better anyway

Its hard to pick a engine , when you don't know. Just reading the threads is crazy......
So I rolled the dice.....Fusion X3 lighting with ceramic bearing won the roll.
I hope I made the right choice.

Hey guys, honored to be on this thread what an awesome resource! I need some expert or advanced advice which I know you guys can provide on a good carb needle setting for a great track tune, not necessarily a perfected RACE tune but something pretty close. I run a Novarossi Keep Off 7 with the newer carb (not the offset Virtus one but the newer gen carbs if you will) Im mainly looking for low and high speed needle settings, I can adjust the idol accordingly. Even good settings from a Bonito or other 7 port Novas or maybe even a P5 if same carb would do the trick? Thanks guys and Ill report back once on the track

Lsn in between 4.75-5.25 out from all the way in (hold slide barrel open while running in) , hsn 3.5-4 from all the way in

these are always a lil on the rich side buut will get your carb "in balance"

Thank you so much my friend!! Ill report back with results. Im going from a c6tg to a P3. I ran a P3 in my last mod engine and it ripped hard and NEVER flamed or did anything but run hard. I cant say the same with the Nova plug. Cant decide tho if I should run an equivalent Nova plug or the P3. Ive got a bout a gallon on her and not too satisfied at this point with its operating stability. I cant get temps above 223 either but those are at night.

Hey guys maybe not the BEST thread for this question? but has anyone experimented with different headers on the Werks 2013 pipe? like nova headers 41021 41001 with this type of combo on a nova engine for example? Or is the Werks one the best to run?

sn47som1 09-05-2014 09:24 PM

Thanks so much Monty those settings definitely got me running consistent pretty quickly. I had to fine tune a little from those rich settings but had a great run! Cant wait to run more fuel through this beast!

Nice

I will NEVER give you too lean settings

Awesome very smart... Any idea ball park good performance tune would be on high speed needle starting from the settings you provided me? Maybe 1 hour leaner? 2 hours? 5 hours?

Impossible to answer question

There are sooooo many factors its unreal , go by the performance of the engine while you tune

sn47som1 09-12-2014 07:47 AM

Hey yall! TGIF!! For all you Nova experts and gurus, I have a Nova Keep Off 7 that has a couple gallons on it. It has been using OS plugs- i kno i kno If you had to choose for best all around performance and reliability would you run the P3, 4 or 5?

Danny B 09-12-2014 07:59 AM

P3. It gives you the biggest tuning window.

sn47som1 09-12-2014 08:24 AM

So from what people say if I go with teh P3 I would lose some power? Is this true?
