Seriously though, I am not a fan of the lower cooling heads, they simply do not work as well but no scratches on the head would be the only plus. As the old saying goes, Function over form.

I still run my HPI head on my Plus4 engines. No problems even through the summer time

Hi all.

Here is my Team engine - now a lot lighter and lowered CG.

The original Novarossi head weighs 103 gram. The head from my HPI Pro F3.5 HPI part #101589 weighs 72 gram and is lowered a lot (7 mm lower than the Novarossi head). The 4 screw holes have the same position, so why not put the HPI head on my Nova? All it tooked was a little bit of grinding on the Nova house. VOILA the worlds first NOPI engine! :D

Life is simple!

Drive train magic

Despite the fact I have worked on every aspect of my vehicles so many times I cannot remember, there is one thing they do I cannot wrap my head around. When sitting on the bump box I will start one wheel turning to listen to my drivetrain. The part I do not get is this; once all four wheels are spinning if I stop one wheel ( eg. grab hold of the right rear wheel) but keep the drivetrain turning, the wheel on the wheel on the opposite corner of the vehicle stops too. Since the drive train is still spinning, how does it do that?

I wouldn't expect there to be any problems with the lower cooling head. It works but I prefer the cooling characteristics of the larger head like plus4c team & FusionX7.
I remember when you did that head mod, pretty sweet even if it does say "HPI". :)
