So the only difference between the newest GXII-5RHO and the one A Main has on sale is the three needle carb?

That three needle carb is pretty much the same carb GO made for the Arrow Racing engine, so it wouldn't be a disappointment to me not having it as I could swap one.... plus I'm very familiar with the standard two needle carb from my JS engines.

Who is selling GO parts in the USA? Will the JS con rod work on the GO engine?

Your on to it Flanno :)

The third one down in the red and white appears to have the perfect idle gap according to my eye-crometer. That is a seriously tuned motor :D

Doesn't matter if some are a little out of tune, I'll take'em all:D:eek:

Yep, correct Rsickles. The only difference is the carby. The 2 needles work great. They were improved from the GX Series, and have a re-tapered LSN.
You can tell the difference by the Gen6 GXII-5RHO carb having a silver coloured LSN needle, as opposed to the older Gen 5.5 GX Series LSN needle being black.

I know that the GX Series crank works in the JS, so I guess the rod must be the same dimensions. My guess is both rods are stamped out in the same factory anyway ;).

Looks like Amains pricing of the GXII HO is getting peoples attention.
I would say that those who have not driven with one before or just brought it because they were cheap will be pleasantly surprised how well they GO and how long they last...easily get a season (club racing and a bit of practice) without needing to do the rod or bearings.

Some nice examples of the perfect bottom end setting Flanno, and that idle gap Shane, oh yes :) must be just right, not too small or too big.

mmm those tuneing gaps most definatly need attention.. hmm.. very well sorted flanno..

just tried finishing my 15th tank now.. and i think my landlord was tired of it..

meh.. well if it wasnt for him i wouldnt be living in a nice place..

Flanno 03-20-2012 07:14 PM

Thanks for the info. I am sure the con rod would likely work.

How is the wear on the crank pin? That's my only concern since the crank isn't coated.

Hello everyone. I have a yes or no question. I have a OS vzb .21......
I'm may have something crossed but a couple years ago I remember hearing that the con rod from the 7port is the same as the OS .21.

I rebuilt a second hand d8t that included OS .21. I'm having the sleeve pinched at raya's and I really don't want to use the old the con rod.

So, is the Go tech 7ports con rod the same as vspec's?

Sound like you are looking for cheap? Just buy this if you want to assure it fits... http://vp-pro-usa.com/engines/arrow....category_id=86

That is correct sir. If they're both the same con rod why buy the one that costs $30+ extra?

Thanks for the link sir.

Yes it was nice this morning to find a PM on FB from a young buck thanking me for it.
Said it was the best explained guide he had read and now finaly understands how to tune his LONG needle carby.

As the saying goes, you can't please everybody, but if you make just one person happy today then your doing something rite
