Are the MG66's still advailable?

I had one a few years back, 045, if I remember right. Loved that engine. But I got sick of replacing the crankshaft every couple of months due to excessive wear, where the clutch bearings ran.

Has that been fix yet?

If it has I would love to get my hands on another.

Yes, MG 66X.21 are still available. :D

I assume your in Aus ? ;)

Try MassiveMods web site, or MassiveMods Face book page if your on FB :sneaky:

And the wear prob is a self fix, I don't wear shafts any more since been doing this........ put the first clutch bearing on shaft, then a little bit of "Eureka Lube" (comes in a tube) from most repritable hobby shops, then the clutch bell and 2nd bearing.
So the lube is between the 2 bearings.

I'll try and find you a link for the Eureka Lube when I get on my own computer at home. (I'm at work ATM)

grizz1 03-20-2012 11:53 AM

Your on to it Flanno :)

The third one down in the red and white appears to have the perfect idle gap according to my eye-crometer. That is a seriously tuned motor :D
