The sun came out today, it was a late start of racing after a lot of track work.
We managed to get in 5 rounds of qualifying of 6 min heats.
MG66X was a whole new animal not having her tamed down for 10min runs but open up her full potential for 6 min runs.

TQ round 1 9laps 6m01sec with a 0.55dev
5th in round 2, still hold TQ thou as its rocket round and no one beat my best time.
TQ in round 3 10laps 6m32sec (only truggy to crack into 10 lapper time with a 0.46dev)
Still TQ round 4, thou I sat this one out to work on truggy.
round 5 sat out still and somone beat my TQ time with a 10 lap 6m29sec.

round 6 tomorow then the finals. :tire:

GET'ER DONE!...thats awsome rob!...nice to hear you got to play:lol:....there hasnt been a BIG WEEKEND race here for a couple months!...but ALL 5 local tracks have club races EVERY friday then the other 1 on a saturday and now 1 is going to run on sundays....but no 2 0r 3 day qualifiers and finals till later this month.....

Thanks Guys.
Oh, I forgot to mention, because only running 6min I didn't have a pit man so I would start her up, fill tank, throw her on the pit ramp while I walk up stairs, and go and just stay out there for the warm up 3 min and then race hard for 6 min and still had fuel left ;) not much but still came back running

PS; Magie, its a Maitland guy that took TQ from me in the 5th round while I sat it out.

Young guy and his father pits for him.

Cheers Grizz.

I didn't manage to get TQ back today, but I did manage the fastest lap of the 2 days in Truggy and also to make up for it I won the event :D second only 2sec behind ;) (TQ Josh), I sat on the leeders tail for whole final but last lap I got him. :tire:
Good, close, good sportsmanship racing, both days.

You da man Flanno :D :) Sounds like the wait through all that rain was worth it in the long run.

We had a club meeting today, but I had to work :( Bummer, as it was a grouse day here too. Never mind, I'm off weekends now for a few weeks, so will be into it next week for sure.

Yep, very quick. What is it with these young guns these days ! lol

Was very good to have him there pushing me, he kicked my a$$ at ACT this year so felt good to get out of my comfort zone.
Actually any one of the top 5 could have took it out it was that close between us.

Anyway, back on topic.

MG66X.21 in a Truggy :tire:  :D

How does it compare to a GX-5R or 7 in a truggy?

Does it have the same bottom end as the GX-5R?

It's the best of both.

Bottom end of a 5 and revs out like a 7.

Look back a few pages (pg 798) or find the MG66 thread to see mine in action. :D
