Thanks for the info from everyone, It's giving me a lot to chew on. Well, at least I know my next motor will definently be a GO!! Gotta Love Them

I've heard you can make some wicked power Neal. I guess I was referring to some American modders, sorry. I would say more bottom end on a 5 port would make it a paper weight in offroad.
I was just talking with Ed at Eb last week and he recommended his Race prepped Ebm5 version for a truggy. For the Fully modded he changes timing to smooth out the bottom end and give it more top end. We ran a fully modded Ebm5 2 weeks ago and it did what he said, smooth, more top end with better fuel mileage. Rex |

Will I will be at some big events but if you mean me coming from PA to AZ unless someone else is footing the bill I highly doubt it. I would love to come there and to CA to hit all the tracks some day. Actually maybe next year if all goes as planned but I do get alittle away from here into Ohio, NY, maybe alittle farther but thats about it. And of course through out PA.

Now on to Modded mills, the guy who is getting his mill modded should have an idea of what he wants out of the particular engine. He should communicate wether its going into truggy or buggy which pipe he will be using ect to who ever the modder is and then the modder should know which route to go with his work. Massive Mods I am shure is awesome just look at peoples sigs there are lots of guys on here with MM on thiers. Speaks for itself, I want to try 1 of his my dam self. I am happy with my PTM. And Powerhouse knows his stuff to I have seen his work in action. Before I die I will have 1 from everyone LOL. I even had a AB mods P3 .28 back in my MT days.

what are your thoughts on the Turbo 3port? i apologize i cant skim thru the last 198+ pages
how is its bottom end? what the run time average? how would an ofna 086 pipe combo do with this engine? it will be in a Ofna Hyper 9 buggy on a "smedium" size track with med/large jumps? all help is appreciated  |
Excellent choice from what you described and your buggy being light as hell thats what I would put in there the pipe is fine too.

Ok guys I need some help-
I ran my 3 Port Race two weeks ago and it ran perfect all day long, until my clutch broke in the main. The next weekend I take it out and it wont tune. --The bottom is so-so, but changes a lot. After a lap or so, they bottom is completely different than right when i left the pits. Like a lean bog but if i richen it, it will do the same thing. --Also, it dies when i open it up(full throttle) almost everytime. I tried, and many others tried to tune it. We tried to lean the top and richen the top and got the same result no matter which way we went. --Im lost...someone said it may be the front bearing but if it were that wouldn't it leak fuel also and cause a bunch of dirt to build up there? It was perfectly clean when i pulled the flywheel. I already seal the carb neck, back plate, HSN where it attaches to carb body with red RTV. Any help??? Thanks, James |

Thanks, James Sounds like the clutch is coming in real early and bogging the motor down. Does it spool up ok when it's on the starter box, but then die when you gun it on the ground ? Worth a check anyway  |
no, im still running 1.0 springs in my clutch. i think i did change to a different type of alum shoe though.
anytime i try WOT on the box, or on the track it dies. idk what is causing it. |
headers
hey ..has anyone got a spare 0801 header they want to sell..I can't race in europe with the 0801 as it's not homologated blah blah blah..so I really really don't want to buy an entire pipe just to have the header to try on my 2047..Alternatively can someone..maybe grizz1.. take a photo of the header dead square on with rulers at 90º so I can suss out exact dimensions and maybe find something else in a pit box that will be the same or at least really close..

Chased the tune for a couple of days until I realised there was something else going on. It would run fine for 1 or 2 min then start lean bogging and cutting out under acceleration. Start it again and it would be fine for a while then go crazy again. Maybe pull both HSN and LSN needles out and blow out the jets etc. Other than that I don't know what it could be, seeing as you have sealed everthing up already. |

This is the 0801 header. The camera angle is a little off, but the measurements are done with the micrometer and are correct The 2047 with this header has a slightly longer overall length. You may need to move the pipe holder mount and trim the body for the stinger to exit by a few mm. |
