how is the .21 3 port race engine? is there anything better about the 5 and 7 port over the 3 port?
5 Port - Massive bottom, very good mid, good top 7 Port - Good bottom, very good mid, massive top 3 and 7 Ports probably best suited to buggy. 5 Port good in buggy but ideal for truggy. |
I'm getting excited becasue its almost warm enough for me to break in my go 21 7pt turbo. I cant wait to run this in my new fte RC8. Ran it in a jammin FTE x1cr last year and it ran flawless.

thanx for the suggestion. i I turn off the motor by bumping the flywheel. ok so as it is right now when i gun it down the straight it looks like im getting good smoke till about halfway down then i cant really see it...i have kept the hsn at .5 turns if from flush (i have the long lsn)..the low speed needle i have at about 2.75 in. if i lean it maybe 2 hours more on the lsn then i get like a hesitation when i punch it. most notable to clear rythm sections. it hesitates then takes of, hesitates, takes of. but still smoky. i cant figure it out. i retard the hsn then im not getting any good pull down the straight...any suggestions?

I have been looking for a new motor for my truggy and I have had good success w/my buggy's go motor. Based on what you say the 5-Port would be my best bet. What is the general consensus on the MM 5-Port?? Would it be a good choice over the standard (non-modded) for mostly club racing and a few larger events? Is the Massive Mods motor a good choice? If so what pipe would be good, can you give a few choices factoring in price? Anything special I should know about running modded motors? This would be my 1st modded motor and I just have a few questions before making the leap.... Thanks for any answers. |
for those that are concerned the top end of the 5 port isn't as good as the 7 port.. think again, last weekend it was running like a dream, and after a 15 meter straight it was still finding more! it was running so good that i had 3 people thinking i had a modded speed!

The 2053 might work well, but honestly for less than $50 you can get the 086. The engine still has MASSIVE bottom end with this pipe, and you'll be able to pull anything on the top too :D
|
the thunder tiger pipe is the 2035, 2053 would be the grp pipe
|
Has any1 seen the new Go-tech Motors, i bet they'll be insane!!!:cool:

Yeah dont run the 007 on the 5 it wouldnt let the mill spool up properly. Even the JP-3 sucks on it I didnt like it at all. I thought it would be okay since mine was PTMed bud it still had no runtime like it does now with the 086. And to be honest the 086 all around had better performance than the jp too.

+1 on the dynamite 086, with the 5 port. glad I took the advice.
