I believe what grizz really said that if you followed posts from this thread, especially what grizz was writing it you needed to be at least in tuning ball park...otherwise what can I say, from thousands Go's you got black sheep:( I would send a mail to the shop from where you bought and it might be sort out for you:nod: I still trust on Go engines, look on this thread, there is soo many happy users;) |
i run as much fuel tube as possable when they cc the tank it be 1-2 cc under leagl race limit :) its not as important as the pressure line...

Well i gave it an honest go and i can say that my first go engine ever purchased is my LAST go engine ever to be purchased.
14 tanks in and it would not tune, i asked numerous questions here about tuning this particular carb and got many thorough answers and i followed the advise to a t. yet this mill still would not tune at all. The kicker happened just a few moments ago, removed the engine from my buggy and noticed the engine no longer had any pinch (14 tanks old) and the carb which i was going to replace with a os vspec carb is completely siezed in the engine, it will not come out or budge at all! i removed the pinch bolt assembly to make sure there was nothing holding it in place. I gave it an honest go, i gave go engines a chance and they failed me miserably. So now i have a very expensive paperweight, or i could recycle it and get .25 back. |
Not good looper i wonder what went wrong:confused:

i also measure and write down what the lengths and what type the line is and put it with my setup sheet so when ever i need to replace it for whatever reason i know what length its meant to be to remain legal. Mike |

Yeah, I'll get back to it if nothing else because I have a mental issue with it getting the best of me,lol. I got the nova they are selling at amainhobbies.com simply as a back up and the price. Most places sell it for 189.00 which is cheap, but they sell it for 149.00 and then I had a 25.00 on-line coupon so it was 124.00 AND free shipping. THAT is hard to pass up! Well see, sometimes you get a bargain and other times you just get what ya paid for.......

LOL, I wonder if he'll come back to answer you. To be honest, I've put mine aside for awhile due to tuning during break in too. cant get it to run for 2 minutes without dieing. think the lsn may be TOO rich for one, but I've piddled with it for 6-7 tanks, got frustrated, reset it , sealed it and did a carb swap to see. In the end, I've set it aside for awhile so I don't just give up on it. (5 port with 1.42 factory lsn that I got new last summer) Never had an engine give me this much grief during break in. Interesting for sure, and I could just feel the potential, when it was running, but it got my goat so to speak. I'll go back to it in a few weeks I guess. In the mean time I'm breaking in a budget Nova 3 port, Not expecting as much performance as the Go, but dang it! It started right up! LMAO Not sore on Go, just frustrated. Especially since the 3 port Go in my buggy runs so good!

try an odonnell 77t plug,or an os-p3. set hsn to flush along with lsn. then turn hsn in 1/2 turn and lsn1 1/2 turns in. then fire it up. One other thing you may have an air leak around the hsn. Take it out if above fails and with it out blow through pressure line off of muffler. put rag under the top of hsn opening and see if any thing comes out. I had some rubber from the seal come out on mine. Got new seal put some soap around seal so it would twist with out tearing. engine ran fine. One last thing, check to make sure your head bolts are tight along with glow plug. To me it sounds like a weak plug, air leak fuel lines? It will be some thing easy. also our idle could be set to low causing you to set the lsn to rich, then setting hsn to lean. I've done it.
