Also, Michael was already using the silver aluminum mid bearing block. Also, he has some kind of bronze weight stuck on the left side of the chassis.
That's because the WinterNats uses ROAR rules ... fuel open, the rest by the rules.

Just a thought ... maybe Serpent ships "lo-cost" kits to Asia because of the competitive prices there. The US and maybe parts of Europe get "upgraded kits" with the extra bits?

Nah ... too much work even for Serpent!

The way you have your car vertical with all of its weight on the rear set-up wheels to check your rear toe will give you flat spots on the o-ring in no time. Especially if you do that on the concrete pit-tables at TT.

When you can't get your toe right, I can image "additional" weights being place on them after which I foresee the Golum effect hence oval set-up wheels!

D and people like me are outlaw racers ... you mentiion things like adding weight to our cars and our jaws drop!

I'm learning though since a few of us are planning on going to the WinterNats in Feb next year.

Next time I'm at the track I'll put those set-up wheels on the car and do a few laps. See if they are round.
And if they're not wobbly take them to that WinterNats track ... the barriers are apparantly made of steel "belts"!

Didn't Schrijver99 mention the mid bearing block adds less than 1g?

If the aluminum mid bearing block and radio tray support together add 10g, that's probably a lot. Then I'll still be at 1675g race ready, save the fuel...

Are you referring to the CVDs or the weight of the 710 being not legal for the Winternats, Uncle Sow?

I think Michael put the weight there to balance the chassis.

Outlaw? Not anymore... Engines may be outlaw but weight, nitro content, bodyshell are legal.

Just come back from the track, so everything still on the car minus fuel = 1719g and with no body 1614g.
Are you sure you've intalled the Motor or got the tyres on, Kevin

Yes, but to save weight I've taken out the piston and sleeve and I also havent filled the shocks with oil.

Air? No... I'm not THAT stupid... I use helium!
I can't tell you how it affects handling yet. I'm having trouble starting my engine!
