I don't think Speedmind has self tapping titanium screws.

Do I need titanium screws? No... It's my addiction that tells me to get them! Anyone else here have that problem? Maybe we can start a support group.

Crashed_1 can join you too !
I too gave in to the addication and bought Ti screws. I weighed the car before hand and afterwards - I saved a massive 15g Only the tapping screws are now non-Ti.

Cheers, Mark.

I was sitting in Duesseldorf airport for 3 hours, waiting for my connection flight wishing that RCTECH worked on a WAP phone Next time I'm going to get a full internet enabled phone, so I can surf & post whilst waiting in the airport - or even from the track that'd be pretty cooooool!!!

I'll give you a tip Mark. There are a lot more titanium screws that you can replace. Any screw that is M3, countersunk or button head, you can replace with titanium ones. That includes some on the bottom of the chassis !

You also need to look at the front of the bumper / body post, especially the steering linkages and the servo mountings, screws mounting the tank and the upper deck, screws mounting the side braces, the rear shock tower etc.

My apologies, the 2.9 mm head self tapping screws can be replaced with M3 titanium ones. I know they fit because I'm using them.

Are you sure you replaced all M3 screws and saved only 15 grams? I thought it was more.

Anyway, for the chassis, I used normal M3 countersunk screws. Not self tapping ones. Not many though. I used on the mid bearing block and the battery mount tabs.
