If they are anything like the ball cups used with their TLR 22 set, avoid them like the plague. They would bend easy and were sloppy if you removed them just once.

I'm talking about the BALLCUPS. The Studs and Turnbuckles are indeed "money". Ha!

Okay thank yOu. I will study on it some more if you have a picture that you could post of this in your car that would be helpful assuming that you have the b4.2and the xerun v3.1 thanks for the help and info

I just got my body from E Z Customs, for my B4.2. I had a question about mounting it. Should I use the Velcro on the side of the chassis method, or should I drill holes and use the rear body post and the screw in the front? I would rather go the Velcro route, but I wanted to get some opinions first. If the Velcro method is the way to go, any tips I should know before doing it?
Thanks for the input!!! Oh, here's a pic of my body!!! |
Velcro...no real special tips. I use about 5 inches per side in three sections on each side. The front angled in area, the side and the rear angled back area. Done.
If you look close to the left side of this photo (right side of the car) you can see the front and side applications...the rear is out of site because of the angle. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8120/1...ccbdb213_c.jpg |

Any special tips on mounting the Velcro inside the body? Every time I have tried Velcro they would inevitably come loose on the body.

Not sure if anyone else has come across this but I was looking for a sheet of CF to do some customization of my own and came across this and found it rather interesting!!!

Make sure the inside of the body is clean where you're putting the velcro and I usually always heat up the adhesive with a lighter before sticking it on anything.

I am sure the design could be lightened a little bit, but it just looks so clean. I would buy one for sure. Very trick looking.
