Where can I purchase the yaiba? Thanks for the help wildcat!!! |
yes you can use a full pack with them, but keep in mind, the esc shelf needs to be raised and your esc might hit your body

Will a full size pack fit with either one of these shelves?

Thanks for the help wildcat!!! http://www.vision-racing.net/product...58&id=23919842 Vision's carbon steering rack is sweet as well -- machined aluminum bushings for simplicity and zero slop and very adjustable ackerman. All this being said, I think the shelf only makes sense on looser typically outdoor tracks. On high bite you are better off keeping the COG low -- less roll and more stable on high speed sweepers. |
Its actually the other way around, on smooth tracks you want it all in line so that it can change direction where as outdoors you want the weight spread across the chassis

i made my esc shelf from a like fiber imbedded plastic, material its very strong not as strong as cf and slightly more flexible, but its only 1mm thick and i was running it ontop of my battery strap 3mm and i soltered my wires on my tekin on the side and it fits great

Yea yea ROAR legality is a question...I don't race ROAR so not my concern. For those that race at Bumps where we do use ROAR rules I'm running the shelf on my B4.2 so don't get your pantys in a bunch. I was shocked yesterday that they relegated a 4x4 SCT driver for being over width as I have never been there when they Teched cars before. |

Best wing by far. It's not even close. I was sent the Sweep wing to compare and it's not up to par. While it's well made, the wicker angle is too harsh and it literally pulls the front up to the point my 4.2 will wheelie if I hit a tiny pebble and have to let off to keep it from going over. With the Vortex my car has ultimate downforce and is stable as can be. Plus it's made from really thick Lexan so it's more robust and durable than any other wing I've used. The JC HC wing is nice but the Vortex is a bit better. |

I want to order the upgrade wing too but Amain is out of stock on them. Vortex has them on their site though.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a ESC shelf for my B4.2. Which shelf would you recommend, the Avid shelf or the AE factory team shelf? The AE shelf is supposed to be flexible so you can get a full sized lipo pack under it??? Not sure if I would like that, maybe it's ok.
Thanks for your input!! http://i.imgur.com/zlVgtQO.jpg |
