Absolutely. I was hoping that Associated would do something along these lines anyway. A slightly narrower chassis (not overly so like the 22) with precision fitment of components to remove all the slop and make what is already the winningest car of all time even better.

Well as far as I can tell its made out of glass, lol. j/k. But the material that would be chosen would be key. I really like the Mock up. But, yeah, a different lighter more durable composite and maybe removing some material and that could be a winner. you could easily make the center line chassis alum and make pods for the sides. I like the look though.

Are there any better options for the 12mm big bore bleeder screw orings? There always seems to be one annoying swelled up oring that makes me wonder.

Yes, don't run O-rings at all. DONE!
silveraider14 I've been contemplating swapping my front end components for those of another brand that is known for their precision but I'd likely need a few custom made components so I've not wanted to get into all that just yet. All I can say is that my 410 and my Son's RB5 are supremely precise compared to my 4.2. TLR Ball cups removed most of the slop, but some still remains from some of the parts. |

Velcro...no real special tips. I use about 5 inches per side in three sections on each side. The front angled in area, the side and the rear angled back area. Done.
If you look close to the left side of this photo (right side of the car) you can see the front and side applications...the rear is out of site because of the angle. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8120/1...ccbdb213_c.jpg Did you use a Dremnel to take off your rear body post? Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it!!! |
