Doubtful. Kid stuff, then have to run up to Mike's, onroad fuel race there this weekend, need to meet up with someone. If I make HARC it will be after 3:00 before I can get there. Which is okay, I know the layout already. But fuel only, probably will not have even put 4x4 SC on the track yet at that point LOL. Bobby won last time with his Frankentruck, don't let him do it again. That thing is fast though.

Also Hotbodies Megabites pink compound should as well.... pretty much any small pin soft or softest compound tires will be good.

3. locate a pin, Perfect size pin for me was the end of a Traxxas hinge pin. find correct size drill bit.

4. I recommend a drill press with a vise. or a very steady hand. Drill hole through the center of the slipper back plate. flat part of slipper disc acts as a guide so it is easy to drill a hole into the round shaft. and this will help you locate the exact position to drill as well.

5. Disassemble, now take slipper disc and notch it so it can slide over pin like a wheel hex. Notch by sanding or grinding the plastic belt pulley so it also slips over pin.

6. cut pin to fit within the square of the slipper disc.

7. Reassamble transmission with pin.

8.Slide pulley on

9. slip disc back in

10. Reassemble and verify that the slipper unit spins without wobbling. if it wobbles. you might need to to grind some material away from the high side to balance it out.

The belt pulley holds pin inside so you never lose it.

You will gain acceleration and braking. more corner entry speed and exit speed. and equal slipper action which makes truck more stable to me.

Sorry for crap pictures/dirty truck. i haven't cleaned it since i raced it Saturday night.
Inglish is not my native language, so im having a hard time understanding it the correct way.

But all this work is for what? better acceleration and braking?
All this work is for what problems to eliminate?
I keep reading about people having wheelies with this truch? is that why?

isnt this to much thinking for a tiny little "problem"

what is it exactly what you guys are trying to eliminate and gain with this?

help me understand this..

I drive this truck from day one and havent had any issues, just crank down ( lock-up the slipper ) I do drive the clicker engaged 24/7

Gives the front more bite (traction, power, or whatever you call it) and destinates both slipper plates to the rear half. That means, the clutch effect is more controlled and more adjustable.

Its main advantage is that it avoids all the traction getting concentrated upon the rear half, causing the truck to lift the front (do a wheelie, or lose substantial amounts of power in the front half). This way, the truck has better acceleration, you can push the throttle harder, and it has better on-power steering.

And if you add front saddle packs/ballasted nose things only go better, because not only you get more traction, but also because the transmission works more equilibrated due to the better mass distribution.

Man, limited wheel selection for this truck. Black Rulux, DE Racing, or black SCTE. WIll the XXX-SCT wheels work also or is the offset different? What about the Proline Protrac, did the problem with wobble get worked out? I run the PL beadlocks on my 2wd.

I was running the proline protrac wheels with no issues. It seemed to be an isolated issue with quality. I am now running DE xxx-sct rears (they are 2mm wider per side than the stock rims, while the jconcepts hazard rims add 1.5mm per side). To compensate I filed a tiny bit of material off the face of the stock plastic hexes and it works perfectly.

I have that cover on my truck and I love it when the track gets sloppy. Be prepared to watch your esc temps rise 20-25% though.

The new JC Hazard wheel with the extra 3mm offset has been awesome for the SC10 4x4 .

i wonder if Associated is going to release another upper shaft, and slipper option for the "pinned" setup everyone is going to. thats is a lot of work for this.. and i dont have the resources to make these parts that you guys are doing..

i just bought the truck.. and had to get the swaybar kit.. havent had a chance to use them yet.. but will this weekend..

now i read about the pinning.. this is crazy!!!!

I have one, and yes the one shown in the pic is the correct one.......... Just be careful running the underbody it will cause your esc temps to go up.......
