hey guys i was wondering if you could help. im running my sc10 with a mamba max pro and trinity duo 2 13.5. geared at 23/84. my problem is the car is too slow but is still getting really hot. i ran the mamba cheat timing and it drove heaps better and cleared jumps etc, but was getting really hot, so i turned all that off and drove it as it is and it still gets hot. the gearing should be fine for a 13.5, i cant go any slower then it already is!
any ideas on what could be causeing it

Try 75:21 on the 13.5 I'm running a trinny as well and it seems to work out well and as for the mamba still with the programed timing lower then find the sweet spot.

LOSA2164 1/8x1.250 hinge pins
also needed 1/8 e-clips

I use the 1 deg with the losi hinge pins on mine and I've got plenty of rear traction on the clay surface.
Hope this helps:nod:

THANKS !

I am looking for some setup help with my sc10, I am currently running gold front springs with ae 35 weight oil and green rears with ae 30 weight oil. Shocks in front, all the way in on the towers and outer hole on the arm, in the rear inside on the tower and out on the arm, The track I on run on is indoor packed clay relatively high grip(S&N trackside) my problem is the truck diffs out to easily exiting corners, when I pick up the throttle it wants to spin the inside rear tire. I am running a ball diff, I was thinking of going to stiffer fronts and adding the antiroll bar in the back to help even the truck out. In the in field the truck works well, it is just is difficult to drive in the higher speed parts of the track. Looking for suggestions...

I switched from gold to red in the front with a medium spacer (arms a lil below level) and put 7000 wt in a gear diff and helped a ton. the real fast guys at marcca (carpet, very high traction) all run about the same. with the ball diff, just try to tighten it in very small adjustments and see if it helps

Yikes, $26 makes for a pretty expensive 4" length of wire and some screws.. :weird:

Is 84/18 an ok gear for a 8.5 Trinity Duo Platinum? I've got other gears, but am on a tight indoor track and need to start low.

I wish I could help you with your gearing needs, but I could use a bit of assistance as well. The manual seems to recommend bigger gears than necessary in their gearing section. 28/78 for a 17.5? Maybe a 23-24 would be a good starting point?

I'll be using a Havoc Pro/Ballistic 17.5 at first, and switching to an RS Pro or Mamba Max Pro when either become available.

It looks like the 13.5 guys are going down 4 teeth or so from the manual, does this sound good across the board?

For a somewhat flowing med traction offroad track using a "static" timed esc the suggestions are about spot on. For carpet, or smaller tracks you might need to gear down. Once you get an RS or mmpro you will need to gear down when you start using the advanced timing features.

I believe 26/75 was working very well for me with a 17.5

Cool, I'll grab probably 25 through 28 and see where I get.

Thanks!

No problems here from any of mine, you will have to dremal the battery a bit to get a connector to properly fit but not much.

i run the zippy 5.2s now still no problem.
