17.5 Novak Ballistic powered by a Castle MMP. Running a small 65X45 high bite wet clay track geared 22\81. Zero timing at the ESC with 35 degree of turbo/cheat kicking in from 5000 to 7500 rpm. Not perfect but close....lots to play with on this ESC.

arent the red springs stiffer than the silvers? are you moving the battery back and making the front end stiffer?

DIFF FLUID -

Q on How to Add, and How Much

I'm wanting to 'tighten the diff' in my son's SC10 and have been told to add Oil/Fluid to the gear box.

I'm a PAN CAR GUY - so NO CLUE~

What oil/fluid?

How much?

and Where or how do you add it?

The track is a loose dirt - drug and watered.... Truck isn't bad when it's damp but as soon as it starts to dry out it starts buzzing the LR tire.

Another SC10 Q - Shock/Spring setup

At this time this doesn't really pertain to my kids SC10, cause he's just BASHING with it right now...but

What type of Shock and Spring combo would be used on a track like SRS (in the STOCK SC10 - 13.5 class)

Shock - Stops, travel limiters, oil, overall length, etc.

Springs - type and length (and spring rate)

i just cut the loop out of the bumper that connects it to the front shock tower. that way when the bumper takes an impact, it can flex and absorb it, rather than transfer it to the shock tower, when ends up breaking the top plate and chassis kick-up

i've been running this at ocrc and west coast rc:

stock mounting locations

shocks: f-5 limiters, r-2 limiter; 40wt oil f&r

springs: f-red, r-grey

this setup is fast, but edgy. i'm thinking of trying a softer setup next, but it may roll too much in the turns.
