Which pivot ball do I need to use in the upper shock cap to mount onto these metal shock mounts for my dex410v4? The stock plastic mounts ball are too small ID.

I know those metal shock mounts work with the alum shock caps from durango.

Thanks for the info. I think these may be what I need. The shaft diameter of the metal shock post are 3.5mm

Just found what I need according to the team-durango.com site. The info was in the description.

For the steel shock stand-offs you need the type D pivot balls with the stock caps #TD330036.

These have an ID of 3.5mm.

Those are for the aluminium shock caps.

here's a pic of my 410 with the HW 3.1. I think they are very similar in size to the R10. If you have a large receiver it can be very very hard. I'm not using the radio plate because I wanted to get the alum case thermally joined with the alum chassis for better cooling. This allows for a little bit more room as well.

I actually thought about taking out the plastic radio plate as well. Looks like I'm using the same spektrum 3520 as you. I can get it fitting nicely but what screws me is the r10's external capicitor. I have another esc. It's a viper vtx10, and its much smaller than the r10.But I don't think it's rated to run a 6.5 in a 4wd buggy

Can you extend the capacitor wires so you can mount it somewhere else? Maybe a different cap? The speed passion 4X cap is a pretty easy fit I think. It will fit in the side pod.

Yeah Tony, don't use the VTX10. You need a VTX10R for 4WD buggy...

I have the SP Super Capacitor on mine and the wires were long enough for me to mount it on the vertical flap of the side plate.

If you use the MTX transponders they are a little bit smaller than the AMB stuff. The 410 is kinda tight but it can work.

Another idea for capacitor might be to use the SMC EX cap: http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?...product_id=239

Looks to be pretty small. Square mounting means it could be under something. On the alum chassis would be best for cooling anyway.

You just got to massage the clearances my ESC and servo horn have a paper width of gap and my rx has 1mm clearance from the Spur. I also have a ESC cap and a glitch buster wedged up against the side rail.

This is probably my 5th electronics layout in the 410
