I like the black one. For $5 I might just buy and try one. Do you think they are jank? 3Racing is not bad, not great, but not bad stuff.

Seems like a lot of guys are running the 7.5. Some with a 6.5. I actually am going to run 8.5 and dive into that dynamic timing advance offered by the technologically superior Novak Kinetic if I need any more.

BOOM!

I run a 7.5 Tekin with no timing boost on the esc and 5ish degrees on the motor. Stock spur (87?) with a 22 pinion. Temps around 140 after 8 minutes, and 4 lights on the ESC. I do have a small high-velocity fan on it though.

You got it! You will also need the pivot balls that go with these.

Are you talking abou that u-shaped pin? I had a little trouble at first because my diff was not seated all the way down. I forget why it would not settle in but believe my spur was caught up on something.

Tekin includes a cap in the box. It's easily soldered in along with the power wires.

The RS comes with a small cap that needs to be soldered onto the esc. MUCH smaller than the LRP. Make sure you get the RS Pro as you may have overheating issues with the RS. Running a 7.5 you should start around a 22 Pinion, 8.5 should be 24 or so. Make sure you punch out some small cooling holes over the motor, and position the motor so the solder tabs are along the side of the chassis. Ran mine for the first time yesterday, KO VFS 1.5 esc, Full Throttle 7.5 Duo 2 Platinum Base, Orion Carbon Molecular 4500 Saddle, came off at around 130 degrees after about 10 minutes and was an absolute rocket! No other fans on the motor, just the fan on the top of the esc and 3 small cooling holes in the body vent near the motor.
Have Fun!!!

Danger yes i was talking about the U shape pin!gotta use dremel !!anyway my big deal is to make my choice on the 7,5 or 6,5 motor..only running this car indoor on a small track..not really loocking for crazy speed maybe more torque for exiting sharp corners and for the starting grid!!

One of the fastest guys at my local track is running 17.5. Another with 10.5, and the rest with 6.5-8.5. They're all competitive.

I do not know if it makes sense to have to use a dremel. I bet a 7.5 is a good choice all around . . .
