I am going to try out 3S and a Tekin 2650 and RX8 on the SCTE, Anyone know what mods I need to do to make the motor fit? Anyone have any pics they can share?

i won the A main buggy with the 810 and i made 1 lap with the sct and walked off the driver stand it was that bad. i.m gonna put a pro driver set up on it and give it another try but wow what a difference.

They do rub which is why I ditched all my slash 4x4 wheels and tires I had. Let us know what track you actually run at and we'll see how legal it is then we'll also know what track to stay away from since you'll be running there.

all i wanted to know is if someone knew when they might be comming out with the replacement diffs? any info would be helpful.

Another great day racing I love this truck!!!
I broke the pin in the front drive shaft cva in the second round but other than that ran great.
First time out with my new mmp I replaced the old sv2 and run the 1410 I'm using futaba 4pk radio and futaba 9452 servo and it runs great with no glitching.

I got to see the new sc10 4x4 today after the race I was not as impressed as I thought I would be it was broke so I did not see it run but it really looks hard to work on and just really different so maybe I won't even get on to mess with.

Now just speaking from what I see at my track the losi SC has problems with it's diffs also. It's also higher than the jammin.. AM I WRONG???

Now maybe the ones I've seen are just not lucky or tuned very badly but. The one I saw is wearing out ball ends and his diffs are hurting so not fair to compare it to others. I'm sure when the truck gets all it's bugs worked out it will be not just a race winner. But a truck that you can run hard and not have to replace parts all the time..

Lets be honest every sc truck has some things that need to be addressed after its release. The losi is no different. It may be a race winner but it needs attention out of box (don't they all) and is fragile in the diffs. Right now for me I got very lucky and have an awesome stong and fast truck. I will buy the losi after it's bugs are worked out.
I can only tell you that my experience has been just the opposite. I posted a review of my teardown this week and after three races there was no wear detectable in my diffs. Nor was there any in the outdrives or the pins in the CVD's.

Not saying you haven't seen what you said but I haven't seen it here. I haven't owned an 8ightT, but my 8ight buggy diffs have also been trouble free.

My diffs look just like yours, so it makes no difference what pins you are
running in the SCTE...

Theres many other people on this forum and other forums that changed
their diff pins before ever driving their trucks. Their having the same
problems also with the gears, shims & aluminum blocks all disintegrating
into dust because of how heavy the SCTE is.

I've said it before........ I'm sure Losi will get this problem fixed as they
have seemed to be fixing everything else thats a problem on this truck.

I race 3 to 4 days a week so I'm seeing things on this truck alot sooner
then most. If I hadn't bought (two) SCTE's I'd a been side lined a long
time ago...

I love the truck and if Losi stands behind it the way they seem to be thus
far I'm sticking with it...
Ok ..Havasu Chuck...go ahead and say(I told you so)...Waiting.. there it is..Yes my gears in the rear finally went, started to square off the spiders and nick up the suns, rear diff stopped in its tracks.Gotta say tho almost 3- months of hard running not bad,I know they wont last forever.Got 1.5 races out of my new Horizon pins
and lets just say I do not like the results Iam seeing on theses(new) pins.

I'm not going to put salt in the wound at all my friend (sorry it happened)
to you me and many others on these R/C forums.

Like I said Losi knows about this problem wether they want to admit it or
not in public (they know) and I'm sure their working on fixing this weak
diff in a 7LBS+ SC truck.

I bought an AE SC10 4x4 and raced it yesterday, it's nice but I never sold
my (2) SCTE's I love them and believe Losi will get all of us fixed up soon.

My SCTE's will go up for sale if Losi does not come through for all it's
customers but I'm not sure the AE won't go up for sale with them because
4x4 SC's will soon go the way of 4x4 buggies if AE & Losi both don't step
up soon and get their issues fixed before everyone get a bad taste for
the SC4x4 class like they have from Ofna already. People will get sick &
tired of money pits the way they did the 4x4 buggies....

No one likes (DNF's) everyone wants to loose or win heads up with out
parts failures...

Once again sorry bout that my friend..

Default SCTE Altered

SCTE race ready at 6.2 flat pounds w/ body. Mamba Max Pro, Novak 550, MurDogg 5500 65c

Getting it under 6 lbs. should not be a problem if desired.
