Hey all: Saw this on rccaraction and think it's a nice pick up for viper rc. I just wonder all the time he'll now spend at viper rc will affect his own cefx brand. Thanks

Finally got to run my VTX10 BE this weekend at the JConcepts race in Massachusetts and loved it. It was smooth and delivered power on command. Highly recommend one to anyone curious about them.

Spent the weekend with Josh at IIC and he is looking forward to this new direction in his RC career. He is still doing his CEFX efforts, in fact he built a radically new 1/12 car in the pits this weekend and ran it for the first time during qualifying and the mains. Very impressive stuff. While running his own products he is going to help us improve our motors and speed controls.
We have learned a lot from him over the last 3-4 weeks, his input helped with the success we had at IIC. 3 of the 5 team drivers at the event made A Mains (me included), a TQ, a win and a podium finish -- not too shabby for our first real assault at an on-road event.

I'm considering switching everything back over to Viper. I was running the VTX10R's in everything, but then I decided to tinker and try new things out of curriosity. Lrp and Tekin. But they both have little things that bug me and I nitpick. Maybe I'll talk to Mike Friery this weekend and get a better idea if I want to switch back.

Oh BTW way we had a good offroad weekend as well.
Travis was TQ in 4wd SC, he won one of the triple A mains, looked like some race struggles in the others.
At the J Concepts Race in MA, Royce Berrio was running 2nd in 2wd 17.5 when he lost a pinion, he also finished 4th in SC 17.5 and 1/8e. Mike Wilder was 8th or 9th in 2wd Modified and Mike Aliberti was 9th in 4wd Modified (in his first 4wd off road race).
Tiffany Helms TQ'd and won 13.5 Buggy at HobbyTown SRS Raceway
Rick Jenkins TQ'd and won Expert Stadium Truck (sorry didn't get which track he was racing at).
So all in all, pretty good weekend for the Viper crew!!!
