thanks for the reply, My concern is that for one is its not sensored. Does the esc have a sensor plug in case I wanna get another motor that is sensored? Again my biggest concern is reliability is the number 1 priority. I know all systems can go up in smoke from user error.

tony - its the smoothes unsensored system you will find. The software gives you control to adjust the starting power of the motor, which takes away the majority of the "cog" feeling. Our team drivers have been using them at events around the country and running with and beating more expensive systems. Like anything else, watch the heat, don't run longer than the length of your races in practice, it will last you just fine.

what size/brand bullet connectors do you recommend for the copperhead motor to esc connection for a real nice tight fit?

4mm should be it. I have heard some people slightly squeeze the end on the esc to help make sure its tight as well.

Getting ready to buy the copper head combo. Question thou, will it work ok with savox servos and spectrum rx's? Also is the pro gauge really needed? Prob will buy it in a month or so but do I need to it run it out of the box on my scte or is it ready to roll out of the box

I run mine with a voltage protector (cap). You can run it out of the box.

Yeah I have a spectrum cap. Went ahead and got it ordered. Hopefully it last a good while. I went the cheap route last time with a cheap esc and it didn't last 2 batteries. So hopefully this one will atleast last me till the spring

Ahhh yes another BH to Viper convert. FWIW my LT4 didn't last 60 seconds (BEC died) and when I took it apart the soldering and care taken to layout the chips on the main power board was laughable. And then there is his "customer service".

Yea...glad I'm running Viper now.

on friday night i ran my losi XXX-SCT at my local track in the stock division (17.5 w/ boost)I took second place! i was leading for a bit, but i made a few mistakes.
i ran 22/84 gearing with the ball diff trans (2.43:1) 15 deg. on the can.
30 degrees boost
start rpm 3500
finish rpm 12000
level 5 in slew rate, 22 degrees top speed timing.
A55 firmware

what does level 5 equivilate to in degrees/1000rpm.
i went from A19 to A55 firmware.
