Take your time and get the onroad right. I'll run something else in the meantime, however; the vtx1 and the vtx10r black edition speedos I run are going to be paired up with the black cans upon their release! I also picked up the viper r/c pit towel last week. I'm looking forward to taking that to the track this winter and representing. I'm Joe Smuckatelli average club racer here, and I have yet to have a single issue with these products.

I'm hoping to spend alot of time up there at IRH this winter. I'll probably run 13.5 class until I get my car / tires dialed in

b_recliner - don't count out the VST motors, especially in off-road. they are torque based and very competitive. You just have to gear them different from the RPM based motors -- maybe 1-2 teeth higher depending on the layout you are on. I have also had good success running the RPM rotor with 2wd buggy and the torque rotor with SC in the VST motors. We did win the ROAR Nats in 2011 in 17.5 Buggy with it!! Set fastest lap and should have won Stock SC at the SC Nats last month. Just like with the speedo's, the BE motors are just another option to choice from (when they are out). Give the VST series a shot, don't believe the hype from others - try it.

I have to say CRC can challenge you on that statement. Running there is like running at Nats. There are 4-5 national champions that run there every week, depending on what class you run (on road, offroad)

IRH has their own thread where they can boast - but for off-road - they have about 6-8 factory sponsored guys that can make the A pretty much anywhere on the east coast. CRC has some great drivers as well, mostly from an onroad background - RCE has a good bunch as well. We just don't get them all together enough like they do out west to push the game to a higher level. And we havent even mentioned the FL guys you really want to talk east coast.

I love it, because while I have no chance at beating them right now, it makes me better running against them.

Are you allowed to put a RPM rotor in your motor under the rules?? I understand why they make such strict rules - but as a company its hard to make something like everyone else, we want to do something different.

Is that the rotor I would use? I didn't know about this option.

yeah I know some of the old crew from LIR. My tentative schedule is to go one week at bumps and jumps and one week at IRH..... That will keep me with good competition and the 2 different surfaces will keep me on my toes too.
That's the plan anyway.
