I was just curious how long your bearings are lasting. I haven't changed my bearings in almost a year. I hardly ever do maintenance other than squirting some grease into the wheel hubs. I'm guessing the straight drive train has something to do with the long bearing life.

I believe I made the right choice getting this car over the SWORKZ 350Be Completed the build over 2 days. Kit went together without a hassle. Had no problem with screws going into plastic. Yes they were tight so I used a large hex head to tap out the holes 2/3 the way down. I like the engineering that has gone into the buggy. Everything is access-able. I have raced mostly Associated buggy's for the last few years and they are bullet proof. Probably the reason they weigh so much. The Serpents diffs are small and light. After owning the associated cars it makes me think they may be weak but I read no one has problems etc etc so that makes me happy. Only gripe is I paid $550 au for the Kit not more than a week ago and I didn't get the kit with the updated diff gears. No biggie really I suppose as for $45.00 I can buy three sets of the new diff gears.
Cant wait for the new electronics to arrive. Some say space is limited but from what I see everything has a place and routing wires will be the only boggle I will have. My soldering skills are somewhat novice but I am sure I will manage. I havent seen many pix up on the forum showing wiring etc. So please upload your buggy with the shell off
Next purchase will be the Truggy (nitro)

the track we have here is pretty brutal on cars. we are talking 80 to 1.5 meter ramps that launch cars about 5 to 7 meters in air if you miss the jumps and no landing ramp on the other side so we replace bearings alot. usually the 8x14s I usually sell about 4 packs a weekend minimum and usually 1 or 2 full sets. we only damaged one large bearing on the pinion and the other one gives out qucikly as well. 2 - 3 a weekend.
if the track is not rough they will last longer with out problems. Our track basically has a diet based on RC cars.

Has anyone installed longer M3 screws and locknuts on the shock towers at the 4 camber link mounting holes? I used thread lock when I built the car and had a screw come out within the first few races.

we use m3x25 then use a locknut on the other had to keep things together. I dont use locktide on that screw. just make sure your lock nut is in good shape.
