I'm looking to purchase this buggy has caught my eye since its release and want to give 1/8 scale a shot. A couple of question any real problems with the buggy? Are parts and things I need to buy or upgrade now while building the kit? Also I saw something about a V2 rear end does that come with the new buggy kits or do I have to buy v2 parts separately? Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thx

Has anyone weighed their buggy? I just did mine, about 3,75kg fully loaded (2x nanotech 5300/50C hardpacks, thunder power 1900kv, orion r8pro, some crap XQ servo, mylaps and ko 411 jammed in the top)
Corner weights were something like
FL920 --- FR924
RL940 -- RR960
bit weird. I thought It was a bit ligher than that and had front weight bias...

I have been wanting to get back into racing for ages now. I finally decided to do it, and sent Joel some money last night, so it looks like I will be racing an 811BE come spring!!! I am rather excited. I am looking at a savox servo, tekin rx8, tekin 1900, and I am unsure about what packs I am going to run. All in all, I am very excited. I hope the car treats me well!

If your using a Spektrum radio I would avoid the Savox servo. I had a Savox 1256 with Spektrum radio in my 811be and had real bad problems with receiver brownouts. Changed to Futaba and no more problems.

Perhaps you could try the test again with the springs removed and see if the readings are different.

Welcome back, you'll really enjoy the buggy, excellent quality and drives well.

As you'll be using a Spektrum receiver you may have problems with the Savox/Spektrum combo. Running a glitch buster (capacitor) may help but as I guess you'll be buying a new servo I would suggest getting a different make.
