do not use hobbico after run oil with filled cranks , you might as well go buy a bottle of marvels mystery oil anyway , same stuff
castor oil makes great after run oil , specifically byrons lube booster or u can use novarossi 1m2 or rbmods aro
odonnell is good fuel but please add castor oil for break in

Will this ARO be o-kay, it is sold at A-main so I know I can get it.
This is a bottle of "Afterlife" after run engine oil with applicator from GMK Supply. Afterlife has a unique applicator which allows you to add after run oil at the end of the day without having to take off either the air filter or glow plug and expose your engine to dirt. You just inject the "Afterlife" thru the fuel line inlet. Instructions are included. The after run oil is high quality, will help prevent rust and corrosion, is completely safe for cranks that have silicone putty ramps and is easy on the glow plug the next time you start the engine.
Thanks, Mike

I would like to thank Monty for his amazing service and professionalism. I was having issues with my P5 engines due to using bad fuel. Monty knew the problem immediately and solved the problem quickly. My two "new" engines are even better than before. My buggy now runs on a 13 minute tank and the truggy is close to 11 minutes, which is outstanding for a P5. The bottom end is amazing and the top end makes other engines like stock Bonito and Os Speed feel slow in comparison.
I would recommend HES and Monty for all your needs on nitro engines.
Thank you Monty for making my racing experience with nitro engines a breeze.

Monty, I just saw this post about Hobbico After Run Oil, and I never knew. I have a few engines that have a filled crank and I used ARO in them, not a lot maybe 10-15 drops total. I usually put ARO in after a race weekend (usually 4-5 drops), but I have not ran the .821 with the filled crank much this year. I know now not to do it, but have I already damaged my motors? I take it by your post above that Marvels Mystery Oil and Hobbico ARO are basically the same thing, correct?

Maybe you can shed some light here Monty. Whats the tell tale sign that using the wrong ARO would look like if used with silicone filled cranks.
Cheers,
P/S: still looking for that review on the .25 Roma

If you use quality fuel the ARO shouldn't be needed. Good fuels leave the insides coated with oil. I know that's not always possible though to get in some areas. Also if your engine will be sitting for a long, long time the ARO would be beneficial.

im also curious to know as what ARO would do to a silicone filled crank. i have been running HES P5 with filled crank and have been using Hobicco ARO for about 2-3 weeks before i got to know that the brand is a no-no. This was almost a year ago. never used any ARO since.

well, i guess i'll piggyback on zuma here......i grabbed a p5, exhaust, and some other important info from monty.i finally got my mugen together and long story short, my nitro days are back in full-swing! in fact, they will last as long as they are selling/running nitro

my motor had the bench break in, so i just ended up running about 12-1300cc of fuel through it. started to tweak the tune a bit and it was still SUPER smooth and on point. as for mileage, i actually got jusssst over 13 minutes a few times (medium sized track, and running just about to what it would take to qualify for the a main). if i didnt have to leave early, i'm sure i'd have another line here about how well it helped me in that main! whatever monty does, he does it well!!!
THANKS!!!

Is the castor oil you get from a drug store similar to what is in fuel. I had 2 free quarts of powermaster and used it for break in my X3, but I won't be able to get more for a while. So I am going to keep using odonnell but add some castor oil. How much should I add to a gallon?
