I did the same trick some time ago. To get it replaced, follow the service procedure at http://teamtekin.com/service.html. It will cost you US$79 plus postage. It's a lot cheaper than buying a new RS.

I'd also make sure to remove all old dll files. The standard Windows program uninstaller may not do a good job. I use http://www.revouninstaller.com/ instead. Very good at cleaning up all old files.

When you turn the front wheels to their maximum angle, the dog bones may get caught in the spline grooves of the wheel axle. Check for wear marks on the dog bones at the wheel axle end.
