No, you can just mount it as it is. The alza mount accomodate for different lenght center diffs. The vorza diff is the same lenght as the hobao diff, I know because I have used both.

HPI can still sell if they would add a center diff to the XL and machined ring and pinion. But they don't realize that sadly. They alreaddy have the parts needed, they only need a center diff mount.
