Trying to get back into the swing of offroad racing. I know you hate these questions, but i have to ask.....

I have a B4 and B44 (Not the .1 versions)

I race on an indoor Offroad Clay blue Groove track with very good traction. Its been awhile but all I have are the programming card, but looking to get the Digital box soon. I know its been discussed, but I have been out of the loop for a bit. Can the Hobbywing digital boxes be formatted to use the SP software?

Thoughts on settings for a starting point.

8.5 in my 2wd
10.5 in my 4WD

Hope to start playing more with tuning etc. hopefully the new year will lead to more racing.

some tracks are requiring that the "pro" programming box be plugged in immediately following a race to prove "no timing" software is used since the LED is so hard to see. FYI

Hi,

I am looking to get a Speedpassion ESC (GT 2.0 LPF) but not sure which one would suit my needs. I am running 2WD with 6.5 for large tracks and 10.5 for small tracks. I am currently running the RS and switch from blinky for 6.5 and boost for the 10.5. When racing blinky/boosted do i have to bring my laptop still and switch firmware/software or does the LCD programmer has memory banks to push either firmware when needed.

It is used on the Cougar SV so its a bit tight on space. Either or I will still get the programable LCD. I dont want to bring a laptop to the track anymore and want to venture on the Speedpassion side. Once it all works out I do plan to switch my TC too.

Should I wait for the reventon series ? btw when does it come out?

Thanks!
Ryan

What is the correct Speed Passion address to mail my two warranty cards in to from the last two escs I bought? I can't seem to find an address in any of the paperwork.

No need to...keep your receipt for the ESC, those are your warranty card instead. You have 90 days from the day you purchase the ESC.

And you can do that via internet, but you have to create a Speed Passion website account...

Any LPF or PRO will work...or even the GT2.1 Prostock.

Once you have the SOFTWARE uploaded to the ESC, via the LCD programmer card...you DO NOT need your computer anymore IF you are only changing the setting within that software. IF you are changing software from "boost" to "blinky"...then yes, you will need your netbook or computer to do that, via LCD card.

In the future....REVENTON, you can do the same from your I-phone or Android...you carry that every day, so it is not something you have to bring extra...

There is a delay for the REVENTON ESC in USA.

Solara -

I got a question for ya. I run my blitz in the local off road 17.5 IMCA oval class.

I was am running your MMM 17.5 with 20 degrees timing and your short course master esc with max punch and max timing. I had a little more speed than the others but my punch was low. Well I ended up smoking my 2 race old short course master cuz i was in a hurry and hooked up the battery backwards, so i borrowed another speed passion from a friend, all it said was gran turismo on the side.

I got it wired up and set it to the same settings as my old esc. I took it on the track and it was a different animal. I had all the punch i could handle and i was walking away from people with so much top end.

With out changing anything other than the ESC it felt like i went from a 17.5 to a 13.5.

What gives?

You went from a speedo with basic adjustment, to a speedo with boost. It's a whole new ball game with boost.

Smoedog 01-16-2012 05:37 AM

Ok so its boost. I used his programming box to set the punch and timing, but there were no options for boost on it.

Well that threw everything I know about boost out the window...

Easy...short course master is the low end low cost ESC for entry level use only. GT2 are the high end top of the line racing ESC. 2X the price.....just like driving a Ferrari vs Toyota Camry.

NEED HELP

I have a speed passion 1/8 scale esc motor combo, the motor is a cirtix 2200 and the problem im having is the front screws came out. so what we had to do is re-tap the holes and go to a bigger size. but the motor has so much power it ripped the can at the screws. i was wondering if i could get a new can and top of motor?? where the bearing goes. and also i was wondering how hot should this motor run?? after a 10 min main. im at about 230 degrees everyone is saying thats way to hot.. but it still runing great. i just have to check the screws after every run... and also is there a new motor coming out for the 1/8 scale stuff. that will work with the silver arrow. i like running speed passion stuff to be different.. cause everyone here runs tekin

please any help would be great..
