Right now I'm running 205Mod on my GT 2.0 Pro. Using a 6.5 motor, geared down a tooth, on a small tight track. Anything to be gained by switching to the 119Mod software? I already have more power than I need for this track. Really wondering if gearing down even more and using boost and turbo with 119Mod might drop my motor temps.

Want to be sure I'm clear on something with the 323Stock software. Item 9 is now boost timing, and the 323 instructions say it can be adjusted up to 48 deg. But, I have 65 values on the program box, all the way to 64 deg. Is that 48 deg through the entire range and then 16 of supercharger after full throttle, and that's why the Turbo Timing is set to 0 deg on Mike K's 17.5 setup? Or is it 64 deg through the entire throttle range?

Just bought a gt2.0lp with a v2 sport tuned 13.5, anyone have a idea on what gearing and software to use on a xxxcr for a small indoor track?.

If you use 64* on item 9....no matter what you add on item 12 (even if you add in the 40* timing)....it will never get that 40* timing. The total timing that you can add (front end or back end) are 64* total. Thats why most of the setup were setup by 40/24 48/16 or something like that...48* dynamic boost timing then 16* SC timing after WOT.

Mike don't need the SC timing (0* on Turbo) simply because the track he was running just does not allow him to WOT...or, the WOT is so short that any TURBO is not needed....so he rather add all the 64* timing thru out the whole throttle range, instead of using some of those timing on WOT when he don't even see the WOT.

It is 17.5, but you can gear down like 2 or 3 and give that a try...2WD buggy, stock with boost. The latest software 323STOCK.

Thanks Solara. I knew there was only 64 deg available total, just wasn't sure if 64 was actually available through the entire range since the instruction sheet said 64 was available, but it was 48 AMTS and 16 turbo. Good to know. When in doubt go with what the program box says I guess ha ha. My situation is similar to Mike's, I won't be WOT for more then about 80' and that's just in one section. Looking forward to playing with it tomorrow.

They come with the Ultra Sportsman V2.0 brushless motor which are fixed timing.

fishhead 05-13-2011 06:40 PM

so can timing be adj. from speed control or is that for nothing right now?

Do you have the manual? Program card? If so hook up the program card and check. It's fairly simple. It would be parameter #3.

yes i have it all i guess the question i have is does it do any good to change the timing in the speed control when the motor doesn't have timing to change?

fishhead 05-13-2011 07:57 PM

okay well here is my input on the sc master combo like i said this is my first sensored system and wow what i've been missing out on i'm very happy at this point with the bang for the buck side of it i could of bought just the speed control for what i payed and insteed got a free motor by buying the combo deal free is always good in my book now i'm a little spoiled here where i race i race the january race track in ohio every weekend and have mad trackion on demand so the 11.5 motor is a little soft for our conditions so i plan on moving to a 10.5 and then a 9.5 if needed so after a 4 hour practice night with the 11.5 here is where i ended up with
1-4
2-1
3-5
4-5
5-1
6-1
7-5
8-2
9-1
10-4
10.5 will be here this weekend will run though it this weekend.i left electric when the brushless stuff first came out and switched to nitro it was cheaper at the time and now the times have changed back to electric so i started looking into this sct thing and now have 2 of them and having a blast so having no clue how to set up a sensored system i dove into it head first and was amazed how easy this program card makes setting up the speed control and fast too so with that said like to thanks sp for a cheap and easy system to start the begginer guy out with at a great price

OK, thanks for the advice. I think I read somewhere that SP is working on a 550 motor. Until that time, I was looking at the Tekin Redline or Novak Ballistic 550 motors. Do you know if the GT 2.0 works better with one or the other?

Yes. Changing the timing on the motor and changing the timing using the speed control are completely different. Even with a fixed timing motor you can use the speedo timing advance.

Ran the new software yesterday. Very different from programming the 212 Stock software. Do NOT do what I did yesterday and show up late at the track, have radio issues, and get precisely 1 practice lap LOL. I think after 2 rounds I was sitting 15th in 2wd Mod, yikes! It got better as I did a better job programming, just snuck into the A and finished 5th or 6th, but that's doing things the hard way. I started with the Mike K. 17.5 setup, and the FDR is so much lower than what I'd been running, it really changes the feel of the car. There are so man more tuning options with the slope rate, punch, etc., be sure you have time to play with it.

On the plus side, the more I tweaked it the better I liked it. By the time the mains came around I was clearing a triple and a double with a short run up that guys running 2wd with 8.5 and the 4wd SC trucks were having trouble with. Top end with the supercharger function is really good too, seems to just keep winding. I actually took top end out for the mains, because in Rd 3 I was coming in so hot at the end of the straight I couldn't hold it around the sweeper. And that was with only 24 deg of supercharger.

First race yest with the TLR 22 and 323 stock. Buggy was fast! Prolly could have went up another tooth on the pinion. I used this same setup on my SC with 17.5V3, but think it needs more tweaking to suit the truck.
