Has anyone been able to figure this out?

I'll update my own post...

Spoke to Speedpassion direct and the brake issue could be caused by the capacitor hooked up to the ESC being too small for my truck. They suggested trying out the high powered capacitor and that should correct the "no brakes" issue....hopefully!

This might be what you need.

For anyone with weak brakes. I know the older Reventon 1.0's came with a single cap. The 1.1 now come with this below.
Maybe worth a try.

No, you've got to have the programing box in order to do anything besides the basic calibration to the radio. And the factory settings are not ideal for most people so you'll want to get the programing box..

this one is much more user friendly though..

I currently have the SMC EX-CAP on my 1.0 & 1.1 Revention Pro... and I still have very weak brakes.... highly doubt it will fix your problem if your running the Blinky Software.... but for other programs ... not too sure.. might work.... it's just that their stock Blinky software for brakes leaves a lot to be desired

Anybody try the MuchMore blinky software? I don't run blinky so I can't confirm. Maybe there's works better?

I ran 2w stock last winter and had no issues with lack of brakes. Actually I raced last weekend for the first in 2 years. Blinky TC on-road. And had plenty of braking. Now I use all Speed Passion Product's. There could be an issue with other manufactures motors in combo with SP's firmware. I've never tried to now.

The Muchmore software says to only use with a Reventon Pro. I'm using the Reventon Stock Club ESC. The new high power capacitor is going to arrive today. I'll post results later tonight or post in the buy/sell forum a ESC for sale...

I paired the Reventon Stock Club Race with a Turnigy 21.5 and there are zero brakes. I don't have a program card yet, and it looks like I might not be able to adjust anything without it. I'm having trouble getting it to enter any sort of settings mode to edit the brakes with just the settings button. Is there a trick that the manual doesn't cover? It makes it sound like you can just step through the settings, but mostly it just beeps at me a lot.

The beeping on the ESC means you're in programming mode (if you held down the power button upon powering up) but you can only set your max brake, max throttle and neutral points in this mode without the card. Just make sure your throttle trim is set to absolute neutral before setting all your points. And then make adjustments as needed.

I'm sure someone local to you will have a program box so post in your regional forum and see if anyone offers to help.
