Thanks!
I'm running a 7.5 in my 4wd buggy with 20 degrees of timing and it is very fast you won't be dissapointed. Can't wait for a 17.5 to come out so I can run it in my stock buggy.

I agree, Speed Passion has a good product at a nice low price. Their V3.0 motors are super fast (I currently have two) and the Reventon Pro 1.0 (I also have two) have been smooth and easy to setup.

It's quite possible I've damaged one of them and that's why it isn't working but it seems to have "bricked" I upgraded to the latest firmware. I can still "talk" to the ESC via the prog box and also it responds to the computer when plugged in via USB. It simply doesn't drive the motor...It was a case of pluggins the ESC into the computer upgrading the firmware knowing the car was working then once I was done nada.

I've had quite a few products show up DOA though. One motor, One WiFi Module. Thats where it gets frustrating. They don't respond and then they don't want to take it back even when it's DOA. It always feels like a fight even when you are trying to support them. My latest battle all I wanted to do was buy a new motor and I had to keep emailing over and over again just to get my credit on account so I could purchase a new motor. Oh well...Live and learn.

Oh yeah, one more thing just for the record. I was given a coupon for my trouble, problem is it expired before I could get my credit and use it. I tried to reason with them and they pretty much stonewalled.

Thanks man, I just wanted to try and give an accurate account of what happened.

I'm still excited about my Hirosaka motor. I've been a fan of his since I was a kid!

Still a decent product with a great price. 79.99 for a Hirosaka 7.5T motor!

Does anyone knows if SP will release some new esc for 1/8 cars? I'm looking for one but seems the Silver Arrow line was discontinued...

I am using a Reventon Stock Club ESC/17.5 motor combo. I've tried everything I can think of with the ESC and the LED programming card and have no brakes. I've read every post in this thread and haven't come across a solution.

Has anyone been able to figure this out?

There might be to much timing in the motor. That sometimes causes cogging.

Default Blaze 5700

Does anyone have a good motor set up for the Blaze 5700
I purchased as a back up and had to run in last points race due to Tekin dying. The motor was smooth but slow in my Tekno SCT, I run an RX8 v2 usually with no timing. I tried everything including adding timing but could not get the motor anywhere close to my Tekin 4300. It was like it was a 3800KV instead of a 5700 KV...
Motor temps were around 160 after a 10 min main and never fell off but I got hammered not being able to take the big jumps and slower down the straight.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What is your pinion and spur gear on your truck?

I'm running a 40/13 in my TLR SCTE-TEN.

Hi, I got the Reventon S/3500kv combo for a cheap hpi Blitz build and I was having an issue with it at low throttle. I looked up some videos and its definitely cogging. I'm kinda new to the modding and building thing. I'm geared at 83/24. Should I look at a different gear combo or is the 3500kv sensorless motor not up to the task? It runs fine once its going but from a stop its stutters and I noticed the motor seemed hot so I haven't had it out but through one battery pack. Oh and I haven't messed with any of the tuning. Its running the mod1 with F/B/R.
