thats a real shame.
I enjoy the products I have from them, but if this is become common then it needs to be addressed pronto and solved. Customer service is something I highly value.

After a several emails and threatening to call my credit card company they have finally responded to my email and given me a credit for the motor I returned. The motor was received by them on 7/25/14. It was brand new sealed in the box. I had prior approval for the return but I was told it needed to be inspected and that took quite some time. Now I'm waiting for the credit to hit my account so I can try one of the Hirosaka pro motors. Has anyone else tried one?

I didn't wanna bash too hard here....I think the Reventon Pro model is great, I wished mine had lasted a little longer (I had two, down to one right now) and overall that seems to be a little too common with their products for me. I don't have the latest 1.1 model which seems to have some nice improvements like the shorter fan (30mm vs 25mm on the older model) and probably better circuitry. I wish they would move the power wires around so they aren't next to each other like the Hobbywing or Orion models. it's minor but it makes it less likely to short things out. The heatsink design is awesome, with it's flow through design. I'd love to see an all aluminum case. This would allow for alum chassis thermal transfer. Aiding in cooling on those super hot outdoor summer tracks here in cali.
I really like the V3.0 design with the motor bullet connections, I haven't had any fall out yet however it's a little tighter in my 410. I think the typical solder tab design is a little easier in this car... Also it's nice to set up the car with short wires for the standard soldered tab design and be able to use most any motor.
Customer service is key too. Communication and support. Etc.

Sorry to hear about all your issues guys. Has anyone tried calling them instead of emails? # is located in link.

I've owned 5 Reventons total. 3 older and 2 1.1's and know of others who have them locally without any issues.
I'm currently using Hirosaka motors until V4's are out....8.5 in buggy and 7.5 in SCT...BALLISTIC.

I haven't had a chance to call but you would think it would be easier for these companies to handle service requests via email. It seems their site is setup to do it that way rather than over the phone. Have you had better luck calling?

I emailed back and forth with speed passion about my burnt up esc and after emailing them what I got from it was all they cared about was that I bought it off ebay and once they found that out they stopped emailing me luckily I contacted the eBay seller and they are replacing it for me

Got my credit from Speed Passion finally. Ordered the Hirosaka Pro 7.5T motor. I hope it's great
Has anyone run this motor, what kind of timing do you usually use on the endbell (physical timing)?
Thanks!

If not, you can't blame Speed Passion for that, NO manufacturer is going to warranty an item that wasn't bought from an authorized dealer.

I've been using SP motors and speed controls for years. The only issues I've had, was ones I caused. Over geared and smoked my v3's. And smoked a speed control by plugging a battery in backwards. I've never had an issue with firmware.

Finally got a message back in email stated my repaired ESC has been shipped it will arrive Monday. It's taken awhile and I wasn't all that upset since this was my spare ESC. I love the performance and specially the PRICE of these products. Just wish Customer Service was a little better. Will continue to buy Speed Passion. You can't beat the price. Although I have been tempted to try a Shurr Speed Motor. I only hear great things about them!!!!
