Def don't want lock up. Don't forget you have the epa on your trans as well as speedo to play with. Mine are set on 60% on either more or less. Using the epa for on track on the fly adjustments.

So this brings up a good point, and again, this might be different for everyone, but it could help some of us struggling for setup help.

Perhaps a reference for a setup guide.

Track type: (Clay, Turf, Dirt, etc)
Traction: (Hig, med, Low)
Layout Style: (Fast, technical, minimal jumps, etc)
Tires:
Driving style: (aggressive, moderate, etc)

I understand that everyone does things a little different. Some opt FOR Drag-brake, others don't use any etc.

Maybe for those having issues with braking, perhaps clarify what are you expecting from the brakes and what you are looking for.
(I want it to stop on a dime.....etc)

*I haven't raced in a while, nor have I had had much time using the Reventon, so I may not be able to give much feedback. I too am having to figure out a "style" that suits me. After my recent race at regionals I realize I need to be a tad more aggressive and less Timid in my racing.

I CAN say that my SP motor and ESC combo had some pull and I would gain ground on the competition down the straight when I got on the gas. I just need more track time and practice getting used to my buggy.

Hey guys, I just picked up a speed passion reventon pro 1.1 combo with an 8.5 turn brushless motor. I was wondering if I need to download any software to the esc or if it is good right out of the box? I appreciage any help, thanks!

I just got the 1.0 / 7.5 combo.

It worked fine right out of the box, but it had no reverse.

Using mine in a 10th scale 4wd buggy.

I went ahead and down loaded the newest programing into the program card that came with the combo.

I also ended up downloading the Mod 2 program into the esc. This one is directed for off road racing. It gives you the option of reverse, and the traditional timing adjustability. Witch I prefer over the Hybrid Boost.

This is my first Speed Passion purchase, and I'm terrible with computers. So i got my computer tech to install all the drivers that are necessary onto my desk top. They are available on Speed Passion's web sight.

See below. I recommend doing exactly what Matt did. MOD2 is def the way to go in offroad. Much smoother than MOD1(onroad).

I was actually coming here to ask the same question. This mod2, do you
load it onto the program box then that can download it onto the speedo or do you need to hook the ESC up to the computer ?

Thanks.

Computer to program box to esc.

The program box is link between the esc & computer.

Mod 2 program is downloaded into esc.

Reminder : always reset radio end points after making changes in esc

Just picked up a Reventon R with a V3 13.5. Which would be the better profile for mod buggy: stock 1 with hybrid boost or mod 2 with advanced timing? What would be a good fdr for each? Thanks.

Def MOD2 for offroad. You don't want to mess with boost too much unless it's high grip and you can put the power down. It's all about smoothness and putting the power down. As far as FDR check the sheet that came with the motor or reference one of the B5 or 22 manuals which have nice charts for starting points.

You mean actually read the manual? What an odd suggestion... Just kidding, thanks for the advice.

Some of you may remember me complaining a while back about horrible Speed passion support. Unfortunately it has only become worse since my last posts about this same issue. I've sent a motor back on a pre- approved exchange and Speed passion has received the package and confirmed via email that they have received it. it was received on 7/25!!! Still I'm awaiting final "inspection" all so I can exchange for a different motor....

I don't think I can buy any more speed passion gear, just too frustrating to deal with their service. No response.....takes forever. This whole debacle started in April!!!

I'm having the same problem. Sent a bad ESC back to them in June. I contacted them through their Facebook page. SpeedPower. There is a chat area on that page. The person I was chatting with said it was out for delivery. Not that it has been sent but out for delivery, whatever that means. That was a month ago. This is a spare ESC so I'm not in dire need but this is crazy! Starting to wonder if they even have a Customer Service Dept.
