Hi guys I need a quick answer here if at all possible, I bought a buggy from someone, it has a Speed Passion Stock Club Race ReventonR esc, and a SP 10.5 motor.

Do I need to buy the Smart LED program card? The car drives fine but I cannot get it to go into program mode so I can turn the reverse on and make sure everything else is set.

I run 2s 7.4 volt batteries, should I set the battery cutoff at 3 volts per cell?
Then it has a level 1-9 setting, I guess I'll set it on 5 right now to be safe?

I turn the radio on, then hold down the switch button and turn the esc on, while still holding the button it flashes red several times and then orange, do I let go of the button at the first sign of orange?

Also, when I turn the radio and car on to drive it, the motor never beeps. But it does beep when I try to go into program mode, it beeps along with the flashing red and orange lights.

Nevermind, found out the stock club race doesn't have reverse.

Next question, we ordered a Reventon R, do I need to get a program card/box or can just set it up with an iphone?

Anyone know of a part number or where I can get the terminals that are on the reventon pros? Wanting to put them on my other Reventon esc's so I can make the wires come off esc at 90*

You'd need the blutooth or wifi module. Either one will cost you at least double what a program card will.

A while ago the question was raised about the new Speed Passion Blaze 550 motor being a 2 or 4 pole brushless motor. I contacted Speed Passion directly in regards to this very question. The have gotten back to me and have confirmed that the Blaze 550 is in fact a 2 pole motor.

I looked thru the setup sheets on sp.net, but couldn't find what I was after.

So I am trying to find a baseline settings for my older LPF 2.0 AND GT2.0 escs.

my LPF is in my 2wd buggy running 8.5.

my GT2.0 is in my 4wd B44.1 running a 6.5.

I run indoor, small rto med track with med to high traction clay.

anyone?

using 205mod I ran an 8.5 in my b4.2 geared 22 81
lvc at 3.0 v per cell
drrs a 7
timing at 18.75
deadband at 6%
drag brake at 15%

I never go below 5 on drrs and if I need to calm the motor I will take the timing to 5deg
if track is good max it out and hang on

i just checked and my old setups are still on there as well as JP Richards' setups and some other guys' too. I run on bigger tracks and liked 323stock for the ability to add turbo when I needed. You can always turn the boost and turbo way down and then it feels alot like 205mod would. I'm usually on med to high bite as well so it was possible to hang on to the extra boost and/or turbo.

Recommend esc

What esc do you guys recommend for 2wd buggy and 2wd sct?
Currently running mod 2wd sct w/reventon pro
Need a esc for my 2wd buggy. Currently running 17.5 stock, but want to be able to run mod as well.

Has anyone had luck getting the wifi card to work with iOS 7 yet? I bought mine knowing the app wasnt iOS 7 ready but with no word from SP on updating the app, its getting annoying.

I was able to make my iPad with iOS 7.1 work with the reventon app and wifi module today. I updated my firmware with it. you have to make sure you follow the instructions and fill in the correct IP address. it can be a little wonky….What iOS device are you using?
