I race Dirt Oval. I just bought a Reventon Pro to race with my 17.5 "Outlaw Stock" class. Rules are ROAR legal blinky ESC and ROAR legal 17.5 motor... Then Trinity D3.5 happened and that was followed by the Novak ULR and the Murfdogg outlaw motors. Currently those are also legal hence the "outlaw".
My setup is Stock0 for the blinky and a Novak ULR ballistic with a 12.5 rotor. We race 4 minutes.
At the end of 4 minutes, as I am pulling the car into the pit lane under slow power, the ESC will automatically shut off. This seems to happen every time. I have a motor sponsor so I have been running my motors a bit harder and they get hotter than I would normally like, Ive been around the 170* mark as a high point, 150* as a low. I thought the ESC might be cutting off due to motor temp safety, I disabled it in the ESC program. It still happens.
I want to buy another Reventon Pro for a Mod Sprint class, but before I do, I want to understand this problem and make sure everything is ok. Anyone help me out?

no I don't think so, the battery usually reads about 7.6V after the run. The thing that seemed so weird to me was it ran the whole race flawless and only ever shuts down after the race is over. I could disable lipo cutoff and give it a shot this weekend.

I just finished rewiring my B4.1.2 moving the esc to the centerline. Here is a pic. For me, the wireless bluetooth module is an invaluable tool having it mounted in the car. It is very convenient making any and all adjustments on the driver's stand during practice with my cell phone instead of having to hook the esc to a box and/or pc.

Recently brought the reventon pro esc and it's extremely happy with it. The only downside is, i do not own a PC and i am having difficulty trying to update the firmware of the ESC via the program card.
My question is, does the wifi module allow updating of firmware or just adjusting the settings just like the program card?

+1. I do also (bluetooth w/android), but I know the apple guys at my local track were having problems. If you lose connection while updating, the esc is wrecked.
