Gotcha.

Disconnect the fan then connect everything back up. :)

When you connect your PC + LCD + ESC there should be not battery or fans connected. (Reventon ESCs)

Right, I read that is a bad thing, Pc's are not lipo compatible..lol. I'll try disconnecting the fan, and give it another try..

No problem.

There is supposed to be an updated instruction manual or an addendum coming out that notes that the fan and the battery should not be plugged in when connecting Reventon ESCs to your PC.

Enjoy :)

I've run the R in buggy and SC and it runs awesome.

The Pro's manual tells you to unplug the fan and only plug the lipo in when using the box only.

What's a manual? j/k. I admit, I am "that guy" that didnt read the manual.. I have been running another brand esc for years, but I decided to try something different, and didnt really give myself enough time to learn the ropes..Thanks for the help, lesson learned..

Hi. Just bought the 5.5t and the reinvention pro combo for my dex410v3 after having no luck with my new hobbywing v3. I run on a high grip carpet track. Was running 6.5 tekin redline with not to many issues. But now were coming in to summer and I'm finding the hw v3 is getting hot. Well this combo be ok our should I keep using the 6.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

What program box will work on the Silver Arrow ESC (1/8)? Will the Professional LCD Program Box (SPLCD01) work? Is it worth to get one?

Jorn Neumann used the REVENTON PRO with 5.5 motor at the 1st round of the ETS carpet track...you can see the setup on our website. Using the new MOD2 software....and yes, he ran the same car as yours.

Solara: can you confirm if the Reventon Pro can handle 540 and 550 Pro4 motors?

540 550 are the motor size...(diameter and length)....has nothing to do with the pole...

PRO4...is the name right..? It is from TEKIN, right..?

And Pro 4...is a 4 pole motor, right...?

If that is the case....NO, right now, Reventon Software will not work with any 4 poles motors. But we are testing the new BLAZE motor, which is 2 poles but in 550 size and 5mm shaft....so far, it is the best motor that I can see for 4x4 SCT.

And still....I want to know....WHY 4 poles motor..? does 4 poles motor is any faster? More torque..? Lighter...? Why 4 poles?

Cain 11-28-2012 10:21 AM

From what I have experienced going from tekin's 550 2 Pole motor to there 540 4 Pole motor, similar Kv's, the 4 Pole felt like it had a lot more torque than the 550 2 Pole. it ran slightly cooler as well from what I can tell.

From what I have been reading from people who have the 550 4 Pole motors from other brands, they run cool and with even more power than the 550 2 Pole and 540 4 poles.

The SP GT2.0 Pro does excellent with the Tekin Pro4 motors. What about the reventon pro makes it so it doesn't work with them?

Are there plans for a Speed Passion ESC that can handle these motors and maybe double as an upgrade to the Silver Arrow V2, similar to how the Tekin RX8 can handle both areas with a somewhat reasonable size?
