It's actually not that hard. You choose the Profile, and there's a Drive Mode setting under Miscellaneous. Change the Drive Mode setting to Practice, back out to save the profile, and you have reverse again. (those settings are at the very end of the page of the link that slowinslowout sent)
Ah, but the very first step to connect the programmer card. When the ESC is already turned on, hold down the power button for 5 seconds. The lights will change indicating programming mode. Then when you connect the card, hit Link to Device on the card.

or just Search Viper R/C on YouTube, there are a couple videos on there about the Programing cards and how to use them.
Ive got a Viper VTX 10 "Orange old style" speedo and it will only turn on if I have a receiver pack plugged in. If the receiver pack is not plugged in it will not do ANYTHING. Is the BEC shot in the speedo?
I went into the programmer box and made sure the voltage was turned all the way up. It used to work fine with my M11 and now I installed my new MT4s and Nothing......
Any suggestions. No weird lights or anything. Works perfectly if there is a receiver pack in it.
Thanks
Kevin

Nope, I took it out of the package myself (Brand New) I also tried it on my 12r5.2 with a single cell speedo in in it and it was fine.... :\
Thats whats weird.... Its like there is no power coming from the battery through the receiver until I plug in a receiver pack. Even tried a few different batteries and all the same result. I am a Viper "veteran" lol and have never seen a speedo act like this.

Check to make sure when you plug into the receiver the positive (red) is making contact in the receiver.
Shouldn't be any reason to need a rx pack with the VTX esc's.
Would try all the little things, re-bind rx and transmitter, try with servo unplugged, make sure all solder joints ok, no cuts in wire.
