Hi,
i've been running a VF8.27 motor on a LRP IX8 esc 3 times and I thought it was getting hot fast. Yesterday, at 3rd practice, I noticed a funny sound coming from the car so I checked and... the VF8 can was broken open
ca 0.8 inches from its rear. I just got it from Amain 3 weeks ago, I feel quite sick I must say 
... The track is hard pack with dust, many turns, a few jumps, I'm running 11/48 (final gr 14.44), 4s, car all checked in perfect condition.
I was concerned about the motor temperature, so I sent a message to the tech team at Viper through their contact form, after my 2nd practice 8 days ago (I received a copy on my email address). I never received any reply

I saw this problem happened to someone else on this forum: I'd like to know if there's anything I can do about this broken motor? I don't want to misjuge Viper R/C products for that, because I've read very good things about them. I'd rather like to understand what happened and know what to do now! Woohoo. Xmas came early for me. Track showed Fri delivery and it was in my mailbox today! Install and calibration was a breeze just got to get used to the program card and it's functions. Looking forward to 2015!
