I can't tell you that you shouldn't go over 100%. But I do know that I set mine at 100% and I don't have issues. I am a firm believer that we should be setting it at 100% but I have no scientific data to say one way or another.

Need some help with my combo. I am running a axial exo with a Viper vx4r.45 combo, JR 9000S servo. Gearing is 15/52. Radio is the stock Axial RTR unit. I just upgraded from a Hitec 5645MG (stripped servo gear) and the Viper VX4.39 which was running 16/52. Witht he new set up it seems I am having "brown outs" but I want to be sure. I drive away and once it a bit, I lose all control and response. I can walk over to vehicle, and drive again no problem until I get a distance, and same thing happens. I have not installed a glitch buster yet, just want to make sure I am experiencing a "brown out". My lipos are 30c 2s units. Settings on esc are profile 5. Never had this issue on the old set-up.

The 4 pole motor in the Copperhead system may be pulling more voltage than the battery or receiver can handle. especially if you are using NiMH batteries.

We don't have anything up our sleeve directly. From my understanding depending on the area of the country you live and race in the USVTA is strict about what the esc software can do. The market world wide for an esc that will not have a boost option is small, most parts of the world encourage boosted set ups, so our esc's are capable. Yet, we have legal blinky systems (no "special" software, or trick lights), but in some places that isn't considered USVTA.

For the EPA 100 or 150 question -- 100 will give you the linear feel the software is designed to work within. 150 (you set it to 150 and then calibrate your esc) will make it feel softer throughout the throttle throw, because you are traveling a longer distance with the trigger to full throttle. Maybe with a low turn mod, it might make it different to drive, but under most circumstances I would stick with the 100, as designed.
