1400kv or so on 6S.
Here is a chart that lists what Cell count goes will what motor type, though, some use other cell counts with these motors too (like 4S on 1700Kv motor)

It's pretty simple. Take the three screws out of the output shaft side of the motor and remove the end of the can on that side. Don't lose the washer and spring on the motor shaft. You should just be able to slide the rotor out at that point. Don't let it touch anything on the way out or it will explode! Just kidding....

Well guys it happened again. My VTX8 hit the motor temp cut off in the main and I couldn't finish. This was a problem in my SCTE 2.0 with the VTX8 and a VST4.5XL that I never got solved. Now I have a Tekno SCT410, VTX8 and Tekin Pro4 4600 and still cant finish a main. I started with a 15 pinion and then went to a 14. I'm using profile 3 Brake strength 80%, Brake PWM 9600Hz, Curve linear,Throttle PWM 16000Hz, Punch 50%, Curve linear, Deadband narrow, Motor temp cut off 230 degrees. Early in the day I was seeing 145 degrees then with each pack the temps went up. At the end of the third qualifier the back of the motor temped at 178 degrees and the esc at 140. I have double and tripled checked gear mesh and drive train for drag, everything's good. I have a heatsink on the motor. The motor is new, I have tried 3 different sensor wires, changed servos and am using new SMC 70c 6500mah batteries. ??? What am I missing? Please help.

RapidRC, your setup seems pretty close to mine. I'm running the VTX8 with a Tekin Pro4 4000kV. The only things I see different on our ESC settings are the punch (I'm running 80%) and the brakes (I'm at 100%). What size track are you running on? I can't imagine ever going to a 15 tooth. How long are your mains? What is the ambient temp? How long do you have between qualifiers? Are you getting a lot of wheel spin?
