Viper RC -
What do you mean with new and original, It's al about 1 esc. Indeed, I can't power him on, it looks like the battery is unplugged, it just don't give any reaction. no lights, no sounds
So, because I can't power him on, I can't test the motor, or the voltage from the poles... Can't do nothing really. A dead esc, no silly, little reaction when I press the V-port button.... Clear enough?

The text in red sounds like something is powering on... confused. If it does nothing, I would just send it in.
And to be more clear : I Can't Tun Him On ! No lights, No sounds
Drec -- as mentioned a few days ago -- if you have an issue with the unit, please send it in and let us take a look at it. What happen to it? Can't tell you until we get it. No one on the forum would be able to tell you for sure what happen unless they worked in our office and looked at the unit when it was sent in.
I would love to tell you and everyone that the products will never, ever fail. Reality is that it can happen. Was it a part out of spec?, Was it not assembled correctly? Was it plugged in backwards? Did it run too hot? Did a motor short go back into the esc? There is no definitive answer. Until its look at.
Will it ever happen again -- certainly hope not. We are lucky (knocking on fake wood desk) we have a pretty low return rate. So if its no working, if it meets the warranty criteria, please send it back and we will go through it.

I have a question. The track i race at does an e-buggy light. It is 1/8 scale buggy, but restricted to 2cell. Curently, i run a hacker sc combo with the 4.5 turn 4 pole. I have it geared really low to help with temps, but it starts getting a little hot towards the end of the race. Seeing the motor at 170 and esc at 145 after 8 minutes. The hacker 4.5 is a short can, i was wondering if you guys think the viper 4.5 xl would be better with the longer can even though it is 2 pole.
A 550 can would be better than a 540 size can. With the size and weight I would think a 4 pole like our new VF4 would be even better. Problem with 2 pole on that size is that you have to be very careful with gearing and how hard you drive it.

I have vx4.39 in my scte. Gave it a try in the buggy, but didnt work well as temps went to 190 on can in practice . I switched back to the hacker wich is a 550 as well but sensored. I didnt know if the longer can would make a difference.

If you had actually bothered to read my posts, you would see that vlink does connect to my esc, I can click the upgrade firmware button and the operation is completed successfully, according to vlink. However, I had two simple questions:
1. Why is there no indication of my esc firmware version on the vlink screen, either before or after the upgrade?
2. Why after the upgrade does profile 8 remain with the "practice settings" like in A55, instead of "mod onroad boost" as A64 is supposed to be?
Is that so hard to understand? Wildcat1971, do I really have to make a video to make it clear? All you smart guys, instead of giving me advice about my bad manners, you should just read my questions first and - if you care - try to help.
I should have tried to contact Viper directly, in the first place.

Thank you for your replies. I don't have a progauge so I can't tell which firmware version my esc has ended up with. Anyway, it still works great, as it did before the upgrade, so I guess it doesn't matter
Thanks again

If you don't mind spending a couple more bucks, get the Proguage. It adds in a few more features, my favorite of which is a battery checker. Not sure if you charged a battery? Simply plug the balance plug in and it tells you the overall voltage, each cell voltage, and the delta between them!
