The on off switch may not be in a good place i had mine on the servo
in my old tlr22 and when the corner marshal turned over my car he hit the off button by mistake and turned it off, and it happened once when it rolled over once the body pushed on it and shut it off ended up moving it.

It has to be pushed for 4 seconds. Kinda hard to turn off accidently

Thanks for the advice. If it becomes an issue I'll be sure to move it.

I was given a VTX10 from a local track guy. He said the esc needs a new cap. He tried installing the tekin twin small caps on the cap board. I'd like to take off the old board and either replace it with the stock cap board or perhaps the BE cap. Will either work?

I updated the esc to A55. I'm just wanting to have a prewired esc setup in case a local racer needs a "loaner".

Power up!

I ran the new VF8 2100 motor in my Losi 8ight 3.0 last night at the HobbyPLEX track here in Omaha. Unfortunately, I picked a bad night to bolt on some Viper horsepower - the track was super slick and I spent the whole night trying to keep the rear tires on the ground. LOL!

As usual, whenever I make a substantial change to the Losi 8ight, I go back to the completely stock setup and try it before making any other changes.

With hardly any practice time, and several substantial changes made to the car just to keep the rear end on the track, I ran out of time before even getting a solid run in the books with the new VF8. I was dialing down the punch, changing the drag brakes, slowing down the throttle EXPO...anything I could think of to get a handle on the increase in power.

A total stranger came up to me after the final and said "Dude! Your front end comes off the ground whenever you get on the throttle! How can you even steer that thing? LOL!"

I'd hate to think that the 2100 is too much motor for my old guy driving skills. We'll see when we resume racing after the holidays. "I think I can...I think I can...I think I can!" LOL!

2100 sounds like a beast, like how the Tekin 2050 is in comparison to there 1900.

wonder if the 2100 would be a better "truggy" motor in that regards than say the 1900 to try?

Cain 12-23-2013 07:05 AM

Cain,
We have the 1900 in Cole's ebuggy and he has won two events in two race days. One Club Race and one was Toys for Tots with enough entries for a C main. the 1900 is smoother than that other brand's 2050 but with great power and top end. It is, IMO, the way to go in ebuggy! In our shop, it is undefeated!
