Got tq in all three. They were hand counting the guy that shows got tq in buggy and it wasn't accurate.

Nick on the VTX8 does it come with wires if so how long?

I honestly can't tell you off the top of my head. Don't know why I can't remember. **maybe it was the 6 hours I spent at the airport today between getting bumped off one flight and another flight cancels **

Does anybody know where I can buy the fan connector for the VTX8? Both of the fans died on my 2 VTX8's, and I'd like to replace them with another fan.

wow, I'm not sure as I haven't had a fan go bad yet.

Yea, kinda weird. The ESCs themselves are just fine, and I haven't really noticed an increase in operating temperatures since the fans stopped working, maybe 5 degrees. That is why I want to try a different fan to see if I can get even better cooling than the stock fan.

Well my VX4R45 combo is working very nicely in my SCTE i can stay with any other system running at our track I'm very happy with this setup, i see that there is some new Super Capacitor Modules coming out for the VTX 10 and 10R and VTX8 soon will those replace the Capacitor that's on there now.

Derek - I haven't heard of anyone with a fan failure on the 8 before - check and make sure the wires to the plug didn't get cut somehow. We do sell fan kits that are make for the 1/10 esc's but have the same fan in it.

ridgerunner - we have heard some really good things about the Super6 and 9 caps boards in testing. We have done 1/8 and 4wd SC with the VTX8, but I don't think we have tried it on Copperhead. Interesting thought.......:sneaky:

hello, i took my viper vx4r apart as i thought maybe something was in the can. anyway once i got it apart the shim and spring didnt come out on the rotor so im not sure of the orientation of the spring and shim. i think its spring then shim on the rotor ? so that the spring sits against the neck of the rotor and not on the bearing?

What is the significance of these new Cap designs/kits? What difference do they make on the VTX8?

It's not the wires. I've taken the fans out, and there is something wrong with the actual motor piece of it. The actual plastic piece of the fan with the blades on it is disconnected from the motor and will not securely reattach to it. I noticed after my last 1/8th scale buggy race that the fan motor was about 200 deg F while the rest of the ESC was 130.

Can you just tell me where I can buy loose fan connectors that I can hook up to another fan that I already have?
