the instructions should be under the cardboard riser panel. I think thats where they also throw in a few stickers as well.

I have a problem with a new vtx8 and a vf8 motor.
when I go from full brake to full throttle , its like a off then bam 100 and nothing in the middle it has gotten so bad that I have to move my finger really slow to get the car to run . any ideas I have a similar problem with my new Viper combo, the car drives about 4-5 minutes normally, then loses power quite quickly, and begin to cogg little later and then revs up no longer. Temperatures are within the normal healthy range around 70 ° Celsius. No error message on the LEDs on the power switch. Software is the a64, Profile 1 standard without any changes. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks for your help! :) |
Try downgrading to the previous version of software. That's what fixed mine.

Thats bad, cause I dont habe the pclink... . |
Tarimon- sounds familiar did you email us this question? If not check you protection settings. battery cut off, motor temp and esc. Remembering that the temp cut off can read 50-80 different internally than wha is measured externally on the can of the motor.
I have seen a few cases that the motor temp cut off if just in the edge if triggering so the unit would cause the motor to stutter which some believe is a cut off. If the protection setting is raised or disabled the stutter goes away. Just a thought to try. |
I am having a problem with my VTX10 ESC. I turn it on, all works great. Once I use the breaks, I loose forward. It will only go in reverse. It will not shut down if I hold the red button down either. Only way to turn it off it to unplug the battery. I can not get it into program mode either.
Is it toast? Buzz. |
buzzard- how long before it stops? Minutes? 30seconds? If it happens quickly it may be a fault in the unit. Fets just have to warm up before some fails. If you run for minutes and it happens - would be really strange not a "typical" failure. If there is one. As I mentioned before if the unit is still in warranty period please send it in, we would be glad to look at it.

I bought it from A Main on Feb 17th, is it still under warranty?
Funny thing, I can run for 1, 2, 3, 5 minutes as long as I do not use the breaks. Once I use the breaks I loose forward. Something is wrong because I can not turn it off. If I hold the button down, nothing happens. Once I turn it on, it goes through the boot, then the red LED just flashes. I can not get it into program mode or turn off. Buzz. |

Nikos, what is the maximum of degrees the Motor should able to handle? I dont want to disable the protection, because of my nervous 'nitro-finger' on The throttle
Had a small test drive today and it seems to be the Motor tempetature cut off is the problem. Which adjustments can i do, to lower it? PWM down on both, throttle ans brake..? Thanx for help... . |
