Buzz sent you a PM.

Nikkos basically told me that he really thought it sounded like a transmitter problem and he was worried if I sent it in under warranty nothing would be wrong with it and I'd be out the shipping and the time.

So I went to the field to see if anyone had some thoughts.:weird: It is now running strong on a Turnigy backup radio.:tire: Not sure what the issue was, but it was totally on my end.

It's spinning out everywhere, next step is figuring out how to use the little programming device to turn down the punch.:D

Many thanks.

Hey guys,

Are there any plane to update the 540 motor line?

Wondering as it must be just about your oldest product now?

blvdbuzzard 05-11-2014 12:03 PM

I have not used the radio to change any of the settings. I will put it in my back up SC10.2, different Rx, model slot and see what happens.

Funny though, I put in a budget setup, calibrated it and it is working very well. I have not changed any radio setups between the motor ESC combo's.

Buzz.

Great. Glad Nick was able to point you in the right direction.

hmm, lol. I cant get one of my vipers into calibrate/profile changing mode. It must be contagious. I will play with it again later. I just pulled out my pro-gauge and changed the profile.

blvdbuzzard 05-11-2014 05:54 PM

You have been assimilated into our collective of no programming mode. :)

I have not had a chance to install the setup yet. Been a painful day. I should be able to get to it this Tuesday.

Buzz.

Work in progress. We have some select drivers testing all the time. Biggest hold up has been trying to see if ROAR was going to change any rules or not with 17.5. We are going to start working on new modified motors and figure out 17.5 when its clear (if its ever clear).

DustinH 05-11-2014 09:50 PM

13.5?

ESC only hooked up to battery and still seeing similar results with the ESC shutting down when dropped from 3-4 feet. Connected to battery only, The RED P light is all that is lit, but when dropped it is blinking off and staying off. It is not turning itself back on now and looks to be dead. I had seen this before when I did my initial testing and thought the ESC was totally dead but after letting it sit for a day it came back on. Again I have solid continuity from each post (Battery +, Battery - & Motor A,B,C) to the end of the wire. So far I have replaced everything but the truck ;) I have tried 4 batteries (Fully charged) 2 Receivers, 2 Transmitters, 2 Servos, 2 Motors, multiple sensor wires and soldered on new bullets. I already have an open RMA and at this point all signs point to ESC. Thanks for all the help Nick. Here to hoping for a quick turnaround ;)

Could be a bad switch connection, mine also looked dead after 1 race, nothing anymore, no lights... Send it back, really want to know what it is.... But I think a bad connection on the switch....

DavidAlford 05-12-2014 09:07 AM

Make sure you don't have dirt in your switch. I had a VTX8 that wouldn't go into program mode because of that. Little air, good to go.
