Will the fan on a vtx10r come on with power or by heat

nikos2002 05-13-2014 03:32 PM

should come on when you turn the power on with the newer software programs.

Yep, should spin up about a second after you turn it on with A64 software.

the fan doesnt come on at all when plugged into esc but where the capacitor is there is a plug but it is over 5 volts so i dont want to ruin the fan i just got this back from viper saturday and it says a64 software

nikos2002 05-14-2014 09:21 AM

What kind of fan is it? Is it designed for hobby use?

DavidAlford 05-14-2014 10:06 AM

5 volts shouldn't hurt the fan. Most RC fans are in the 5 volt range.

I will only run the fan outdoors this summer I didn't know if there was disabled or not in a program. I hope to put a voltmeter on it to see if not May wire up through receiver

nikos2002 05-14-2014 03:02 PM

Is it brand new or older? It should come on after the unit completes the start up program. PM me with more information and if you have more detailed questions. Nick/Viper

nikos: can you give any info on how you guys finalized on can design? by that I mean, were there benefits you saw to a smooth can versus say the design of the 1/10 scale motors?

DavidAlford 05-15-2014 10:37 AM

I could totally be wrong. I'm not a SC racer.
