Thanks for all the replies guys. I am in the process of switching over several vehicles so I am trying to plan it all out so it isn't a $1200+ hit all at once.
I appreciate all the info. Thanks again, |

Has anyone ran that combo together and if so, did you have trouble with it? I am looking to put Viper electronics in my TLR SCTE 2.0. Thanks, http://www.shopviperrc.com/ProductDe...-Above-For-VF4 |
can you comment on the power the motor has? I run a "545" sized motor, the Hobbywing 3656SD and it works well, but don't mind viper goodness :)

I haven't ran my new viper 4000 yet putting it in today wouldn't be able to run it till the 3rd of JAN, to much going on with Christmas coming up but if it runs anything like the tekin 540 4000 4 pole or better i will be very happy and I'm expecting it to do so.

I've got a 4500kV that will be showing up tomorrow and I plan on racing it tomorrow night. I just gave my son's Hobbywing 4000 back to him so I can do a relatively side by side power comparison. The Hobbywing was quite a bit stronger than my Tekin Pro4 4000 540.

cool looking forward to hearing how it goes.

If you have a two pole motor but the ESC is set on 4 pole motor would that cause high motor temps. Vtx8 normally run a pro hd4300 decided to try a lrp 4.5 and after about 4 minutes it was hitting 200 outside temp.

Here is a quick article in my Blog on how I adjust my VTX10 in my TLR 22!

Wow, there is so much room for electronics in a Tekno if you don't cram a VTX8 in with a truggy motor. :D

I had a 1900 buggy motor in my ET-48 but ended up stealing the motor from the truggy for my buggy and had the truggy motor sitting around so in it went. I agree the 1900 buggy motor is probably the best setup for that truck.

Vf8 motor is already introduced as 8th scale motor not specified as buggy or truggy motor. Btw, it would be nice to see performance video of sct With vf4 motor.

I went viper motor over my tekin 1900 in truggy as tekin didn't recommend there buggy motors in truggy and when I asked viper about it, they didn't have the same complaints.
From what I can tell comparing the Tekin 1900kv motor, mind you it is a Gen 1 to the Viper 1900kv motor I have, the Viper hits harder, definitely a bit more torque I am seeing. That doesn't mean the Tekin is a slouch or anything like that, plenty of power. |
