just bought my first viper setup, can wait to give it a try. Figured a guy cant go wrong at $150 for a sensorless 550 setup. Should work well in my 4x SC. :tire:

any one have a good starting point for gearing for TEN SCTE with R51?
|
Think about starting with a 12-13 and go from there depending on motor temps and track length.

For those of you inquiring about running sensored motors on the copperhead I encourage you to try the copperhead combo first. I previously ran the Teking Pro 4600 and after installing the copperhead combo in my SCTE I sold the tekin stuff. Not saying Tekin was bad but for half the price the copperhead system is just as competitive in my opinion. Once it's on the track you cant even tell its a unsensored system so I would try it before worrying about having a sensored setup.

Thanks for the good words WideOpen. Some people talked about the delay from when we announced Copperhead to when it was released. And that was one of things we wanted to be right. A sensorless system to have the feel of a sensored system. Its worth a try.

I have been running the 540/3900kv system in my XXX-SCT and have not had a single "delay" or cog issue at all.

Decided I want to give the new copperhead setups a try. I would like to put a combo in my Slash. I am running the RCE LCG chassis with proline shocks. Which combo would you guys recommend? I am using this truck mainly on an indoor course but could end up on some larger outdoor courses as the weather gets warmer so I wanted to have my options open.
So, Should I go with the 540 motor, or one of the two 550 motors??? Thoughts? |

The Copperhead 3900 combo is perfect for the 2wd slash. It will have all the power you can use plus some in reserve. Don't be afraid to use the Progauge. Its a great tool trackside to dial in your setup and its really easy to use.

Oops, should have specified... It's a slash 4x4.
